I really enjoy it when I visit a new restaurant that offers well-prepared classic dishes alongside interesting, flavorful, and creatively presented options. I tried the big lunch special, which included a small pho. It was a massive amount of food, but I was ready for the challenge. The meal came with a salad, a spring roll, a salad roll, rice, and some fantastic vegetable tempura that I absolutely loved, along with a small beef pho and my choice of main dish. I went with the spicy pork and was not disappointed. My dining companion ordered the beef pho with extra noodles, but he soon realized he didn’t need the extra since the regular bowl is quite large. I've tried vermicelli in several provinces, and this restaurant would have been one of my favorites if it weren't for the spring rolls, which were disappointing. They lacked flavor, and I actually felt nauseated after trying one. However, everything else in the vermicelli was fantastic, especially the meat—it’s the best I've ever had in vermicelli! I highly recommend skipping the spring rolls and opting for two types of meat instead. The service was good, especially since I was the only customer at the time, and the staff was very attentive. Overall, I definitely recommend this place for their vermicelli, although I haven't tried any other dishes.
Although they don't use any MSG, their food is fantastic. I've tried numerous Pho spots in town, and I can confidently say that theirs is the best in Victoria. The owner is Korean, so I also recommend sampling their Korean dishes; our favorites are JabChae and GganPoongGi. They offer plenty of vegetarian options that are very healthy, and just a heads up—you'll be amazed by the generous portion sizes!
I had the rare steak pho, and it was delicious! It came with all the traditional toppings and arrived at my table just minutes after I ordered. The portion was quite generous, and the broth was exceptionally flavorful. The service was very friendly, with staff checking in on me throughout my meal. The restaurant itself is clean and inviting. The food offers great value for the price. There's a wide variety of Vietnamese and Korean dishes available, but I usually order the Rice with BBQ beef (R1) or pork (R2) along with a side salad roll. Everything is always fresh, and the service is impressively fast. Two of us can enjoy a meal for under $40, and we often have leftovers for another meal.
Been here time and again over the last month. Fantastic. One of the best and most fresh tasting Pho restaurants in the city. I haven't even made it to the Korean dishes yet I'm stuck on the Vermicilli bowls. The quality hasn't dipped at all over time either. Love it.
I always make it a point to visit this diner whenever I'm on the island. The warm atmosphere, welcoming service, and the tasty food with plenty of options are truly impressive. Make sure to try their pho; it will keep you coming back for more!
