I have no idea why this place isn't rated at least 4.5 stars! It doesn't market itself as an upscale dining restaurant, so it should be evaluated fairly for what it is. I've never had a bad meal here, and I can't even recall a disappointing dish. While nothing is mind-blowing (except maybe the hush puppies, which are fantastic!), everything is consistently good and, more importantly, a tremendous value. I can grab the LilQ platter and feed a family of three twice for just $30! There's nowhere else in Oak Park, aside from Jerusalem Grill or typical fast food, that offers this level of service and value. Visited Q-BBQ with high hopes for a delicious BBQ meal, but unfortunately, I left quite disappointed. I opted for a combo meat plate to sample a variety of their offerings. I will commend them on their ribs, which were good. However, the other meats left much to be desired. The pulled pork, burnt ends, and brisket were frankly horrible. Each was so unappealing that after just one taste, I couldn't ⁸g myself to finish any of them. My wife chose the one meat dinner and ended up only eating her side dish, as the burnt ends were also inedible for her. We were both looking forward to a great BBQ experience and it's unfortunate that it didn't live up to our expectations.
Nick took care of me today and was super knowledgeable about the entire menu. It's not my first time coming here but the customer service today was above and beyond!Food is excellent as always! I got burnt ends and sliced brisket with spicy fries and spicy Brussel sprouts! (kudos on the spicy fry rec Nick! This place is definitely a hidden ?. I love how the historical pictures of Brown leaders were displayed to acknowledge Black History month. I purchased the $40 platter everything was seizing well and delicious I am excited to plan more visits there trust me you will not be disappointed everything is worth it great quality food and great customer service. Our waiters did such a great job I was amazed. May God continue to bless this business

The ribs had a deliciously chewy caramelization that made me want to nibble them right down to the bone. The sauces were the perfect blend of sweet, spicy, and that classic Carolina flavor—so good that I could have enjoyed them on their own. Our server was knowledgeable, and the food arrived incredibly quickly. We sat under a shady tree on the sidewalk on a lovely day. I couldn't have asked for a better experience!
I come here once a week for date night, I see they host concerts here at times. I would love to bring my lights and sound here and set up concerts for them this summer. It would be great and easy to put up fliers around town in the local record shops and others.
what do I have to do to keep that fish sandwich on the menu year round????????????????food was a whole bomb! Vegetarian options: they definitely need more veggie options or at least keep fish sandwich on the menu all year
The best barbecue we had during our trip to Chicago! Everything was delicious, and the owner or the staff member on duty was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the different dishes to newcomers.
