I have mixed feelings about this restaurant. I used to visit quite often when it first opened, but I've noticed a decline in quality and overall satisfaction. Prices have also risen, particularly for basic items like water and noodles, which feels unjustifiable. Paying $17 for a bowl of noodles, a bit of water, bean paste, and half an egg seems excessive to me. If you're looking for ramen in the city, I suggest trying Daifuku ramen, as there are much better options available now. The consistency and value here just don’t measure up anymore. Additionally, the flavors don’t blend well; I’ve been to other ramen shops where the savory notes hit perfectly, but this one seems to be lacking depth....
For vegetarians, my brother—who is vegetarian—absolutely loves this place. He was the one who first introduced me to it.
As for the service, we dined in for dinner, and the price per person is around $10–20. I would rate the food a 5, the service a 5, and the atmosphere a 5 as well.
I recommend the fried chicken, and for vegetarians, there is a dedicated vegetarian menu and clearly labeled vegetarian dishes. Highly recommended!
This was my first time trying ramen, and I really enjoyed it! The restaurant has the typical setup you'd find in a Japanese ramen place. I loved everything we ordered, including the shrimp tempura, oysters, and chicken appetizers. The ramen was fantastic, and I was pleased to see they offer a vegetarian broth option for those who prefer not to have pork broth. It's definitely a place worth visiting!

From the outside, Misoya may not look like much, but once you step inside, it's a charming restaurant. It's cozy, and the service is excellent. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are generous. However, both my meal and my wife's were a bit too salty. I'm not sure if this is typical or just an isolated incident.

This is the BEST and most authentic ramen I've ever experienced outside of Japan. The broth is flavorful, the noodles are incredibly fresh, and the char siu is absolutely perfect. We also really enjoyed the Kara-age (fried chicken).

This is my favorite ramen spot in the Chicago suburbs! The portion sizes are generous, and the broth is incredibly flavorful. The noodles have a great texture, and there are plenty of topping options to choose from.
