I've always driven past the "Red Cabbage" sign on the freeway and have wanted to try it out.When a friend suggested we give it a go I was excited.Our waitress was lovely, in fact you can see they are really trying to provide great service.We had the 3 course meal deal for $69 with a glass of champagne. Excellent value.They also give you a little extra starter of pumpkin soup and bread roll. The soup was delicious. Sorbet is also served between entree and main.The entree of chicken and scallops was delicious but the pork belly was a bit fatty. There with a small group of friends and opted for the degustation. As an avid lover and promoter of all things farm-to-fork (I am a farmer :) this 7 course experience was sublime. the flavours on every dish were perfectly balanced, beautifully presented and not overworked. The staff were wonderful and were very happy to answer all of my questions about where the produce had come from. I nearly gave it 5 stars but there are just few things that bought it back to 4.7 in my view. The ambience/decor is fine but not enticing. We had always wanted to try the Red Cabbage, so I decided to book for my partners birthday. Firstly we parked underneath the restaurant, but we couldn't find out how to get to the restaurant from there with out getting wet? There was no signage at all! The food was ok, with out being special. As it was gourmet, serving sizes were small. I didn't like my shredded beef cheek as it was dry and didn't have any flavour, which left me hungry. It was like it had been prepared earlier or the day before, so I left it. I found the menu wasn't self explanatory and I had to ask what it actually was that was being explained. Trying to figure out what was on the degustation menu or the $69.95 special menu...

We decided to treat ourselves to the 7 course degustation with paired wines for an additional $65 per head. The food was initially very nice, and the proseco and Riesling were good, although less than half glass, more tasting size. Then it went downhill from there. It was as though the vignoiner left after the second course, and the chef followed after the fourth. The wines were just horrible **** from local wineries. The highlight was being served a mouthful of Matso's Ginger Beer, then being left to sit for 20 minutes with no wines at all. Really, between the two of us she could have served the whole stubby! Went on a Friday as a group of six for the degustation. It is a medium sized restaurant and was pretty much full. There were three people serving and that was the first problem. Each of them was understandably busy but it meant a wait of nearly 30 minutes just to get drinks. When it eventually came to our turn the staff were good (all three of them did different bits of the service) there simply weren't enough of them for the night. The food was OK but not spectacular and quite disappointing for the price even though it was a monthly special at $69pp. I would have felt completely ripped off at the standard price of $95pp. There are many other places doing better food for much less than that.

We went back for a birthday treat.We have been previously very happy with the food and service and this night was no disappointment.The service and quality of food (entrée and main course and cheese board) were excellent and whilst it can be a bit more expensive than the normal restaurant, you get what you pay for.The only gripe about the whole night was that the cheese which leapt out from the menu on the cheeseboard details was unavailable.Otherwise, we would again recommend the Red Cabbage to any one who appreciates food with taste and texture as the major ingredient and knowledgable and pleasant wait staff.

Isn't it SO nice returning to your favourite restaurant and just feeling 'yes!' .... Red Cabbage has IT!!! From the moment we stepped inside - that 1st all important greeting etc - that's how it feels. Service, food, ambience are all there. Meals a delight - duck extra special as is fish. And our favourite cheese board to share a disappointment through no fault of theirs as suppliers ran out of the stand out cheese.. boohoo!! Thankyou yet again!!!

Chose to dine as we had dined here a few years ago. We were a little disappointed. The food we had was delicious, a seven course degustation menu. The service was not as good as the food. The placement of the dining tables particularly when set up for 2 people could be given more thought. Again, good food and a good range of drinks on offer by the glass. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Our second visit in 3 weeks because it's just SO good. The quality of the food, flavours and presentation are amazing. Service is top notch. Friendly, attentive, some of the best we've seen in Perth. Perhaps the best. Narrow menu so can't go regularly but absolutely worth going. Very very reasonably priced for how good it is. Highly recommend.

A fantastic night. The food is absolutely exquisite. Could not ask for anything more. Good variety and wonderful array of flavours. Good portions for each course. Good service and friendly staff. Been several times and never been disappointed with the food.
