the chances are high that bedo, the owner of the vecchia posta, they know with names, the second time that they visit his new restaurant in the city of st. gallen. and they will visit him a second time after they tasted his eating and felt his hospitality. even the order he will serve them a little funny bouche, in which a typical Italian antipasti. If they cannot decide, they simply ask him for the daily special. or take the filet on the hot stone. or a pizza. after the meal he will offer them coffee and some Italian brandy. the Italian tradition says it is on the house. a beautiful small restaurant with a warm guest, near the railway station in St. Gallen.
eating is good to fair trips in local comparison. the restaurant is a bit sweet or clumsy. I'd like to get some dust. there would be so much more that the Italian cuisine would give than what all do. you can go there, you won't be disappointed kulinarically, but certainly not surprised. if you are looking for something new, the definitiw is the wrong place. we have eaten very well. we had super well made muddles. then a pizza that were also super delicious. the only thing that was somewhat disappointed was the service. to ask wein was simply brought a bottle. we didn't even have a choice. but what I have to say, the wee was really good and cheap. for a simple evening with good eating, this restaurant is ideally suited.
we were eating in the vecchia posta over midday. the service was very accommodating. there was bruschetta as gruss from the kitchen and eating was very good. Die Pizza ist auf den Punkt gebracht und der Service ist herzlich und einladend. Wir haben eine wundervolle Zeit für unser letztes Abendessen in St.Gallen. Die Lage ist etwas schwierig zu finden.
the pizzeria vecchia posta offers good Italian food to moderate prices (pizza incl salat drink costs 20 chf.) the service is very friendly. ideal for a short lunch.
the restaurant is completely ok, but nothing special. fine pizzas, inexpensive, good desserts. the ambiente is not really special.
