I have been going to Rita's since the early 90s when i worked in the area and was my go to for lunch. I moved jobs but I always made a point of going back to Rita's whenever I'm in the area, but I haven't been back for a couple of years due to lockdown. Now that restrictions have been removed I went back like a shot, I wish I hadn't. Back in the day the staff and food was excellent, plus it was very reasonable, but not any more. First the new owners have no idea about to speak to customers. I gave my order to a woman and the way she looked at me you would have thought I had two heads. I ordered what use to be their lunchtime special, Allo Tikki. It used to be served in a big plate with plent...

During a day trip to the area, this restaurant was recommend to us for takeaway food. We ordered Pakora, meat and veg samosas, we had to wait as the samosas had to be cooked from the freezer (not a good start I thought, and not sure if the Pakora was frozen or not) I was thinking that these would be freshly made, like other Indian takeaways I have visited in the past. The food came all bagged up for us to eat later in the day. For what we ordered, I thought it was a bit pricey. We ate the food later on our way home, the Pakoras all 1kg were over cooked, the samosas were cooked ok (ish) but had no real flavour taste and were very disappointing. Having lived in the area many many years ago and...

I mentioned to the owner that I live very close and have been a regular for last 20 years and how much I enjoyed the service from the original owners and also the previous owners. The guy looked at me like so wtf ?? The previous owners were friendly and from the same village back home. The owners are from MARS!!! Anyway that was all needed to make up my mind and never visit the place and again. And of course I agree totally with all the negative experiences that food is sub standard. I really hope they sale the business on to people who really give a sh*t about the people and are not totally focused on grabbing people's hard earned and honest living.

I have been a customer at Ritas for over 40 years, but my recent visit was disappointing. The prices have gone up, but the food quality has gone down. The pakora was greasy and the batter too thick. I even found a piece of wire in the aloo tiki, which is unacceptable. The naan was greasy and poorly cooked, and the mint chutney tasted artificial. Overall, the ingredients seemed poor and the food lacked care in preparation. Unfortunately, this will be my last visit to Ritas as there are better quality restaurants with cheaper prices in Southall. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Didn't know an excellent restaurant place could drop so low. Once the most common name used when talking about going to Southall for an Indian. But never again. Fancied a chicken tikka roll and lamb samosas. Chicken looked days old in the fridge. Didn't want to risk it. Then bought a portion of lamb samosas. Got the most bland tasting samosas I have ever tasted. Meat was clearly old and off. Disgusting taste. Yes, not a very nice next day experience. Please please please do not go here. It is not the same.

I understand new ownership but to change what has worked all these years, chicken tikka rolls bought 44 to take to Devon to have one on the way home and tasted nothing like the original no king sauce in it and way too spicy I’m afraid to say after over 25 years going here for the chicken Tikia rolls I won’t be back ALL I SAY IS AVIOD DONT FORGET TO CHECK FOOD BYGINE RATING OF 1 out of 5 rating done June 2022

My regular go-to spot for a quick snack in Southall turned out to be a disappointment. I called ahead to place my order, but when I arrived, it wasn't ready. The staff rushed to prepare my kebab roll, but it was not cooked properly and was cold when I received it. As a result, I suffered from vomiting and diarrhea the next day.

Smaller portions and higher prices on chicken tikka kebab rolls since new owners Bobby took over and most other items waste of time and money food not as tasty Original Rita’s run by previous two brothers was great until they sold such a shame was a customer for 35 years previously not any more Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch

Great and authentic chaat. Lots of varieties to choose from. One of the only places in London that do REAL sarsoon ka saag (spinach). Spent an hour getting here from North London for the saag and was not disappointed. Well worth a visit.
