I am 71 years old and I grew up with a Polish grandma who is one of 15 children. Eight girls and seven boys. And going to the roadhouse deli is the closest I’ve been yet to finding authentic Polish food that reminds me of my grandmother and her sisters, my aunts, authentic Polish cooking. Don’t waste your time, driving all the way down to Botany Village in Clifton. This is the real thing. New Jersey’s best no doubt.
Potato pancakes were perfect. They have food that's already made behind a glass for you to build your own plate, I had pierogies and breaded chicken cutlet with yellow rice. I also tried the beef stew on another visit and I thought it was delicious. The owner seems like a very sweet lady, I appreciate that.
They make great sandwiches and have very good pierogi and kielbasa. An added bonus is a large vinyl collection with a turntable playing to listen to music while you wait for your order.
Best eastern european food in this area for sure! Really good chicken cutlet portions with choice of yellow rice and potatoes. Very reasonable price as well, will be sure to be back! Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
The food is ok. But the owner took for ever to dispatch customers, even u just buy a bottle of water. It seems the owner is kind of disorganized, in running the store.!!!
Really good Polish deli. Clean with great service. I thought the prices were adequate as well. Will definitely return if I'm in the area. Wish I had gone there sooner.
This is the only place I will eat polish food moving forward. It's legit real deal and the best I have found in a restaurant.
