The reviews were pretty great here, so I decided to try them out. Last time I was here was probably 10 years ago, and I don't remember the food, so I thought why not? Well, unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. My s/o was hungry and not as disappointed in his linguine with clam sauce, except for the fact that the clams were tiny and not too many of them. The bread was ok, a little tough to tear with your teeth- didn't seem like it was baked fresh. Service was pretty good, attentive and friendly. (There was only 2 other tables. The salad/ranch was great, and soup was good. My chicken tasted like it was pre-breaded, shoved in a cooler, and then baked/fried to order. The breading was mush...
The ambiance here is delightful, truly reflecting a classic Italian restaurant vibe. To the left of the entrance, there is a small room called the pasta factory, where you can watch fresh pasta being made, which is used in their dishes. Just at the entrance, there’s a cozy service bar with some seating and a large TV screen. The walls are adorned with numerous historical photos for those who enjoy a touch of nostalgia. This is real homemade Italian food! My wife and I came here for our early Valentine's Day dinner. It was packed and took a long time to get a table. It was worth the wait. I've been coming here for 20 years and I'm happy to say it hasn't changed. The food is homemade Italian and portions are huge. The bread is fresh and awesome. The antipasto salad is tremendous. You won't be disappointed. It used to be a hidden gem not so much anymore. It's in a weird part of town right next to the industrial factories. Everything we had was awesome. Service was good. It was really busy and food was still as expected. I'll always go enjoy a meal here. If you haven't experienced the villa go give it a try.
the Roman village and antonio are for this occasion really the two best Italian restaurants in the metropol region. the personal is amazing. the owners are very personal and when they eat in them they are likely to meet after their meal to ask how their experience was. it speaks volumes that they care so much about going out of their way to make their experience with their restaurant and their family a positive one. I can guarantee that they 'll not negatively on their opinion, what's a delicious eating great service and peaceful atmosphere they offer. it is a very positive experience. My husband and I were invited to your restaurant today to celebrate one's life after a funeral. Our room was set up very nice. We were served the most wonderful meal. From soup to pasta and meatballs, roasted potatoes, green beans, chicken Parm, salad and cannoli. Our waitress and waiter were outstanding for such a crowd. The food was hot, came out in courses and not one was not worthy of anything but delicious. We will return.
What's there to say? I can't believe that for years I missed out on this great restaurant. Worked right around the corner, heard people bragging about the food but never tried it till a couple of years ago. This is one of the best Italian restaurants in the metro area. The godfather calzone is not only huge but so delicious. Love, love, love RV.
This small gem of Italian cuisine is located in Dearborn, Michigan, also known as southwest Detroit. The pizza and pasta are made with homemade bread. The dressing is excellent. I dine here once a week!
