Roustabouts was nice & close to our hotel so we wandered down for dinner as it had good reviews. Staff were friendly & we were quickly seated & offered drinks. I had the seafood chowder, really good. The man had the salmon with vegies & a baked potato, also really good. His potato was not very warm so another one was bought out for us. We shared some sliders, also good. The deserts didn't appeal to me, deep fried mars bar, no thanks. But we were both really happy with our food.
I went to Roustabout's for lunch today and surprisingly they had switched up their menu a bit and it all looks fantastic! I tried the new French Onion sliders (with bacon added) and the Watermelon salad! The sliders were soooo good and would bevgreat for sharing (not that I shared) and the Watermelon salad was so fresh and delicious. Roxanne was our server and was so kind and management popped by to check on us too. All around great place! :)
I had the braised beef short ribs and very tender but a lot of fat on it as well. My partner had the strip sirloin steak which was done to his liking. My only negative is the dessert at a pricey $8. It was good but the price should be more in the $5-6 range. In general the dinner was a lot for a small city but maybe since the oil industry is prevalent in this town they expect people can pay a higher price.
I usually never think about roustabout because their marketing isn't strong. I went with friends upon their suggestion and enjoyed the meal a lot. The servers were friendly and quick. The only draw back is they close early so the try to get you out sooner then you might want to leave. Maybe if they marketed they would be busier and be able to stay open later. Great place otherwise.
went here with my cousin in June because she said they had curry dishes as well as regular western style food (my husband is picky) and I was very impressed with not only the portions but the flavour of the butter chicken! My husband had beef dip and said it was also great.
Restaurant was very quiet. Good parking. Menu had lots of options for the picky eater. The waitress was very prompt and happy. Music was low so conversation was easy. Our food arrived quickly and hot. We were in and out within an hour. Would visit this place again.
In for dinner, the service was excellent, thanks to Nicole. We had the beef dip and garden salad and crab cakes. Both were very good. Nice glass of wine and the beer was cold, zero complaints here.
This is one of our favorite restaurants as the food and service are always great. Chicken Curry, Stuffed Yorkshire Puddings are favorites.
