I had a wonderful experience at Sakatomo! The sushi here is absolutely delicious. We opted for the special seating in the back, which was a unique and enjoyable experience. The table was low to the ground, allowing us to take off our shoes and relax on colorful pillows. The staff was incredibly friendly and patient. The sushi rolls were fresh and flavorful, and I particularly enjoyed the cucumber and seaweed salads. We finished our meal with mochi, which I loved! The mochi comes in a variety of flavors including green tea, strawberry, vanilla, chocolate, and mango. Each dish was beautifully presented, with authentic Japanese designs on the plates. Sakatomo was fantastic! I hadn't dined here since it was under previous ownership, but the experience was just as enjoyable as before. We called ahead to check if they allowed emotional support animals, and they did, so we were able to bring our sweet family dog! Miso soup was included with all our orders, which was a nice surprise. The presentation of the food was adorable, and we really appreciated the attention to detail. Our server was attentive and friendly. The sushi took a bit longer to arrive than we had hoped, but there was only one person making the rolls, and he did an excellent job. We’ll definitely be coming back!
I ordered from my favorite sushi restaurant in town. My husband stuck to his usual Christmas tree roll with salmon sashimi, but I decided to try something new. I went for the House yaki udon, and it definitely didn't disappoint. The noodles were thick and packed with flavor. I asked for extra sauce, which included chicken, shrimp, scallops, crab imperial, and onion. My leftovers the next day were fantastic as the sauce had a chance to marinate. I would definitely order this again!
The restaurant recently changed management, so some details might not be entirely accurate, but they were very accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant, and the waitress was extremely helpful when I had questions. I ordered the salmon and tuna cucumber salad, and they gave me a generous portion! Kid-friendliness: This place is great for kids, offering high chairs and a bowl with a small spoon for our baby. Our son had a lot of fun. Although the baby was a bit fussy, the staff treated us kindly. This is a charming little sushi restaurant. The customer service and ambiance were both outstanding. We decided to take our order to go, and while we waited, the owner was incredibly friendly and even included a complimentary sushi roll with our order. The food was delicious too! I would definitely return!
