Honestly, I think this place is way overhyped. It's definitely good, but the food was just slightly above average, and the service was... memorable. This was my first time at Salt, and although I was quite impressed with the vibe, the food just didn't hit home for me. At first glance, the menu looked great lots of seafood options, albeit a little pricey. For starters, I decided to share some oysters with a friend. The oysters were pretty good, no complaints there. This restaurant is adorable, very modern and has two bars. I had made a reservation for The Cove downstairs because it was supposed to be quieter, unfortunately there was a birthday celebration going on and it was way to loud for us. They reseated us upstairs without any issue. Our server and busser were both very attentive. The oysters were excellent and the wine list was diverse. I happily settled on a Red Blend from Napa that was divine! We ordered items from the menu, black sea bass and grouper. Both dishes were flavorful and the portions were equal to the cost. Really excellent seafood restaurant, with extremely attentive service, and good vibes! We had the seafood tower for 2 and the charred octopus as apps. Both were fantastic, and the seafood tower is an extremely reasonable price for everything that is included. For entrees, I had the scallops and my husband had the bacon wrapped rainbow trout special. Both were very good, though the accompanyments on the scallops (green beans and mushrooms were a little too salty. The peanut butter brownie and lemon mascarpone cake were the perfect sweet treats to finish off the meal. Will definitely go back for seconds :
Lovely experience. Seated immediately and although it took a few minutes for the waiter to arrive, once he did, service was courteous and efficient. Waiter gave great advice on choices. The grilled octopus was exceptional, as was the crab cake. And, oh my, the Limoncello cake…incredible! This was our first time at Salt; it will NOT be our last.
Celebrating my birthday. I had the charred octopus which was yummy. Then I had the gnocchi with lobster. A home run!!! The the Apple bread pudding special. A perfect birthday
Our server was incredible and the food and drinks (as always) were of high quality and amazing taste everything on each plate was perfect!
Favorite spot to go on date night. Simple fresh great seafood. Always great selection of oysters !
