This is undoubtedly the best meal we had on holiday. I'm saying food because that's what you get here. The owner cooks every meal to order and makes it as if you come family for a celebration. You can taste the love and care in every dish. You can hear that they knock every piece of meat in the kitchen after your order. She just works like a machine back there to make every dish special. The cook/owner has everything handmade and even came out to talk to our family during the meal. My two-and-a-half-year-old nephew and his friend got a little wiggly, so she offered to run them through the kitchen that my sister-in-law said was flawless. She works super hard! The difference between food and a meal is found in this culinary experience. I am so happy that I decided to stop and try real, homestyle German food. My server Ella was knowledgeable and helpful. Everything was cooked with love, no abbreviations. I tried the Sauerbraten tsarte marinated beef and I highly recommend it. Apple strudel for dessert was perfect - not excessively sweet as in the supermarket. Honest, delicious food. Excellent service. That's how food should always be.
Service and food were excellent. Can't wait to go back, but I will make a reservation so I am assured a table since this is a small place. The food was delicious. I was so full but the food wasn't heavy. Bring your appetite or bring some home for lunch the next day.
