The Town of Ladner has special connection to me, about 18 yrs. ago I worked in the lovely small town for almost 4 years. At that time, it was truly a sleepy town nestled between Delta Tsawwassen. We visited this restaurant in Ladner as we were craving some Japanese dishes and google did recommend Sapporo Kitchen. One thing we looked at first before choosing which place to eat was that it has desserts to save time as our time is short. I was so happy to see they have Mario's gelato on their menu since the restaurant I usually order from doesn't serve them anymore. Staple sushi place in Ladner, and my personal favourite. They have an extensive menu and the service is outstanding. I have never been disappointed and we have tried it all, lunch, dinner, and takeout! My order of Spicy Agedashi Tofu (deep fried tofu with spicy Korean sauce, spicy mayo. Sesame seeds on top) was good and really flavourful but I mussed the Agedashi sauce that typically comes with it. We absolutely adore this Japanese restaurant for its high-quality food, excellent staff, and reasonable prices in today’s market! Today, I opted for the Nigiri Lunch, and it was fantastic! My husband chose the double chicken teriyaki and couldn't resist stealing some of mine because it looked so delicious, and it truly was! We started with the Crae Crae roll, which we shared. For my Nigiri lunch, I decided to upgrade the salmon to sockeye for just a dollar more, and it was definitely worth it! Yeah, I agree with some of the other reviews on this place. Food is adequate but there is a weird atmosphere. We went late like 8:45 ordered for two a nice array, and couple of drinks. The food was literally tossed on our table along with the bill. My date was really angry. The clanging of dishes and loud talking in the kitchen really ruined the night. Won't go back, I suggest going across the street to the little Ladner Sushi. They are very accommodating and the food is good we hung out and chatted with the owner for an hour or more one night.
Outstanding Sushi with impressive presentation, a must go when you are in Ladner! Amazing dragon roll the Unagi on top had the perfect texture balanced with just the right amount of sauce, the best I've had. And the salmon nigiri was superb. All three of us loved our meals. Beautiful presentation along with the delicious flavours and fantastic textures, I'm craving going there again already! Friendly, helpful staff. We Highly recommend it!
I had a wonderful dining experience here during my first visit with my boyfriend. Having previously lived in Japan, I found that much of the food was comparable to what I enjoyed there. I highly recommend the lunch and dinner sets! Our server, Sunny, was very friendly, and the food was fresh and expertly prepared. The ambiance is delightful, making it an ideal spot for a sit-down meal. I will definitely return!
I was visiting my friend's in Ladner and we went to this sushi spot they recommended. They have different lunch sets that were pretty filling! I tried the Leo Set with Beef and it came with sashimi, teriyaki beef, tempura and California roll. They do take reservations. Reserviere jetzt einen Tisch
Our favorite Japanese restaurant in Ladner! The staff are friendly, and the food is delicious. An added bonus is that it's just around the corner from one of the best thrift stores, which has a wonderful selection at great prices.
