Ordered a panang curry but 1 taste and I knew it wasn't panang, looking at the menu they had served me a yellow curry instead. It's Monday, it's later on in the evening and you've just arrived in Parramatta fancying a Thai meal and there appear to be a few in Parramata... The first says we're only doing takeouts now, the second's all shut up then we arrive at Saute Thai on Phillip Street and it's game on! Once you enter through a strange Bi-Fold door arrangement the restaurant is pleasant and welcoming enough and the service quick and efficient (they did out number us 2:1 though!)... When returning to Sydney for a brief visit, we were stuck for a Thai Restaurant open on a Monday night. Saute was our third choice. It should have been our first as the meal was without fault, some of the best Thai we have had in a while. Good Thai is harder to find in our new digs in Qld. We had steamed barramundi with ginger sauce - which was beautifully de-boned, succulent and sweet, Ho Mok Talay - cooked to perfection, and salmon salad - perfectly cooked salmon holding its own in a spicy salad. Had a great time with friends. The staff were attentive and helpful with the menu. We had a lovely evening.
Dinner here with the team (12 people) and we're accomodate well. In short--Food was very very good, be it the Penang the Lamb Cutlet Mussaman and the home made noodle Pad Thai, Sauté Excellence-Quiet staff service but productive and not imposing-We had all the food come out Hot and Together (I'm not sure I've been at another Thai restaurant that gets this- serve it hot together) so the three chefs were working hard and were great-Easy access-Easy ordering-Easy payment-Great FoodWell done! The place was busy for a cold Tuesday night and it soon became apparent why. The Massaman with Roti was thick and rich with the perfect blend of flavours. The whole meal was delightful. Definitely recommended.
Went here for a birthday dinner and it didn't disappoint. Service was great and the food was delicious. Lovely atmosphere and would definitely go back again
