Ate at this place after hearing some good reviews. As soon as arrived noticed it was freezing cold. We kept our jackets on throughout our meal. Ordered hummus cost £6.59 the hummus was not like normal hummus it had a creamy/mayo...texture came out with one piece of small bread/pita. Tasted terrible. It had been thinned out with Mayonaise. I ordered sea bass with vegetables. I eat a lot of fish and could tell straight away that they did not serve sea bass. Extremely disappointed as I could tell they served a basa fillet of fish instead as I said I eat a lot of fish! I double checked with the waiter if it was sea bass and he said it was. I visited savaro since I moved to honley in juli and visited at least once all 3 weeks. the service is always incredible and eating is always excellent. (even if I ordered the delivery.) some of my favourite dishes are the hummus, moutabel and yalanji. I also order fetit dejaj absolutely every time I visit, it is nothing as I tasted before and it is great to see a restaurant so consistent that dinge traditional as they know. I’ll start with the positive: staff friendly and make you feel welcome. I’m afraid that’s it. Restaurant was cold and kids had to leave jackets on. Food was very poor. The hummus had little flavour and was very oily. The moussaka was dripping in oil...and had no flavour either. To be fair, it had a decent amount of meat in it but just lacked any sort of finesse or thought. The rice you got with it were nice. The chicken was over cooked and dry and I’m not sure the fish dish we had was actually the fish advertised. Was a cheap cut of white fish. The stuffed bread was dry and lacked flavour. We were completely disappointed with the quality of the food and the prices are high for what you get.
we arrived on Saturday night and were warmly welcomed by amazing employees. can't mistake the service or eating at all, feels almost as if they eat with the family! we ordered a lot of appetizers that were all tasty, including homemade hummus (which I still make a lot to house) I need the recipe for it! absolutely tasty! prevents me that a review claimed that they mayo used in it? who would die mayo in a hummus!? after eating there really insulted by the previous 1 star reviews, of which there are very few, and really do not understand why they are in the first place. fresh, cooked to eat perfection, amazing atmosphere, friendly staff and on point service. well worthy of 5 stars!
My family and I had a gorgeous meal at savaros last night. Immediately from walking into the restaurant; it was warm and welcoming. The food was astonishing, my family and I went for a all out mixture of starters to share and a main each....Hummus, marina, fettoush and the AMAZING fatayer jebney all had a authentic taste and all great recommendations from staff. The mains were creatively decorated and all the mains were well worth the wait, we ordered the shekaf, seabass, kawaj and the mix grill. All great valued and the owner she always had a smile on her face and she knows how to run a restaurant. Deffo coming back!!!!
my partner and I went to our evening. we were pleasantly surprised at the aromen and the variety of authentic dishes. we ordered hummus, marina, foush, shekaf, meeresbass; all delicious and fresh and not to mention all reasonable prices. the service was sharp...and quirky and all were on the ball night long!. huge credits to the owner and the cook. would definitely come back and recommend!
I am not really someone to leave a review but on having a gorgeous meal at Savaro on Saturday eve I felt it was more than deserving! I couldn’t fault the experience. The staff, atmosphere and above all the food were spot on an incredible...chef they must have to create that flavour and taste. We will be back for sure. I thought the owner pulls it altogether very well. Keep it up guys
I and my friend went for a meal on Saturday, eating was amazing, and service was on place, could not fail. have been a few times now and it's always top class. I'm sorry to read the müllrezension they obviously have with someone. have received a star motiw. (shut them for their attitude) and thanks to all at Savaro’s
first visit in this restaurant, although we love Lebanese cuisine anyway. the menu was very attentive and helpful staff, who all want to be satisfied with the choice. eating was really nicely refined quality eating. will definitely visit again if I have the chance.
