After our flight from Kansas City to Pensacola landed, my husband started looking for a seafood restaurant for lunch. Based on great Google reviews, we decided to try Shannon's. The first thing you notice about Shannon's is the welcoming atmosphere. Shannon's wife, Tina, greeted us with a warm smile and a friendly "y'all" as we walked into the clean, new restaurant. Tina guided us to our table and asked if we had dined with them before. When we mentioned we were from out of town, Tina recommended some dishes and assured us that everything was freshly made from scratch daily. I have been wanting to visit this restaurant for a while now because of the great reviews. I am so glad we finally made it! The reviews were accurate. I ordered the shrimp and grits and it was delicious. The dish included about a dozen grilled shrimp on a bed of grits, topped with a cream sauce and crispy bacon. I also enjoyed the tomato and cucumber salad with an Italian dressing. Our waitress was very helpful, friendly, and attentive. We will definitely be returning for more!
I tried shrimp and grits for the first time at this restaurant and it won't be my last. We got our food to go so I can't speak to the dine-in experience, but they were set up for it. The staff was friendly. My husband had okra, greens, and catfish and he was impressed with everything, especially the greens. I'm excited to go back. Also, I had never tried gouda cheese before and it was in the delicious cheesy grits. I highly recommend this restaurant.
the best seafood in the city. serving are plentiful, fish is fresh, side are fresh, clean, nice people. my man loves gumbo and has it everywhere! he said shannon is the best! I was so hot tonight. a page said they would close at 19 o'clock and a said 4 o'clock, so I called a little after 3 o'clock, just to hear that they closed at 3 today! facebook also said 4 o'clock. must have some correct times of service, sease. Delicious ???? ???? ???? small but mighty. I had the catfish plate with greens and okra . The hushpuppies were just right and they tasted like my momma made them. We have already made plans to put Shannon's on our eating list the next time we come to Florida.
shannon is on the spot thanks to her loyal coworkers. The shrimp pool is for two a meal. light hand brot garnels stacked so that they can have any kind and wise they want, plus either fries or Slav dressed.
hidden gem. that will be my new Fav place. the staff was very friendly, polite, welcoming. that was delicious. 10/10 I would definitely recommend.
