Producing could be better handled and fresher. I would never buy berries from here because they are usually muddy from probably improper handling and the strawberries always have mold on them. My biggest edition with every shop is shopping cart with garbage in them. I understand, people are blows and let their garbage in the shopping cart sometimes, but whoever collects them could clean them. Yesterday I pulled out three cars before I got one that was clean. One had used tissue in it and one had 4 EMPTY CANS OF BEER in it. Did the person who collected the car seriously expect another buyer to clean it up? That's disgusting!
Don't get any of the prepared foods. Might as well get canned foods, open it in the parking lot, kick it around and eat it off the ground. Would probably taste better. The sushi tastes like two day old rice...or rice being thrown out by the takeout Chinese place across the street from last week. Inserra corporate...fire the prepared food crew. Save yourself the hourly wages. Anything on the shelf with a UPC should be in the system, right? How about a new rule...if it doesn't come up, it's automatically $0.01? Take the actual cost out of the paycheck of the shift manager. That will get people on the ball.
I just had to share my thoughts on the amazing food being prepared by the current Chef or Cook! The hot meals and takeout offerings are truly outstanding and far exceed what you find in other grocery store chains. My daughter, who is quite a picky eater at just 4 years old, absolutely loves the penne, mac and cheese, seasoned potatoes, and so much more! Hats off to the chef for such incredible dishes! I don't usually write reviews, but I felt it was important to do so today!
Couldn't get digital coupon on my phone for the above product so I went to customer service. Lady looked it up and said it was an old sign. I said it should not be there and should be removed at which time she ran over to remove sign. She would not honor the discount that was posted even when it was their fault. I always have trouble with their customer service. Very disappointing when you spend hundreds a week there.

Could you please explain why your employees don’t pack the groceries? If COVID-19 is a concern, perhaps you could provide your staff with masks and gloves. Most grocery stores have employees who bag groceries for customers. For instance, Trader Joe’s in Westwood does this, and when I visited Pearl River ShopRite, they also offered packing assistance.

Not the greatest supermarket, Fresh Grocer in Washington Twp and Wegman's in Montvale are far better. The worst self check out I have ever used. Rarely can you check you self out and not end up needing the employee who over sees the self checkout area to come over and clear your register.
I have had it!!!! This F! store is the worst Shoprite in existence! It's always always always out of the basic items constantly!! It looks like im going to ramsey now which is like going to a roller derby with your shopping cart. F OFF Hillsdale good ridings.
I worked there and found a great variety of liquor, wine, and craft beer available. They have a nice selection of chilled wines as well as domestic and craft brews. The scheduling for part-time work is also quite flexible.
