We popped in for a quick lunch during our journey through town. My husband tried the classic black cherry milkshake, which he thought was delicious. His special smoked meat sandwich was fresh, and my salmon sandwich on whole wheat bread reminded me of home-cooked meals. Overall, we enjoyed the food and would recommend it for a simple and straightforward lunch option. The only downside was the washroom, which could have been better maintained. There was dust on the baseboards, and a sign instructed us to discard our paper hand towels in a bin outside the door. It would have been more convenient to have a basket inside the washroom for disposing of the towels.

I previously reviewed a restaurant where I compared the cleanliness to that of a hospital. While you can safely have your appendix removed here, the soup and sandwich we had for lunch reminded me of homemade food. It's cash only, reminiscent of the old days, but the prices are reasonable. You can enjoy breakfast with pea meal bacon for under $7.00. The decor is a mix of Elvis and friendly biker vibes. They serve all day breakfast, lunch, homemade baked goods, and have an ice cream parlour.

Today, my motorcycle group stopped at Sidecar Cafe for ice cream. The "small" cone was delicious and quite large - I struggled to finish it all. I particularly enjoyed the black cherry flavor. Paul and his wife were delightful hosts. The Elvis theme and music were a fun bonus. We took pictures on the stairs that were later posted on their website. I also admired the beautifully carved wooden motorcycle. Definitely a must-stop destination!

We recently stopped on for lunch during the popular Jazz fest! We ordered the soup of the day which was tomato and roasted red pepper and a roast beef sandwich. The soup was delicious and made from scratch - the sandwich was excellent prepared with in-house roast beef! Good coffee and we had an ice cream cone to go while walking to the next event! The food is amazing, prices are very reasonable and the decor is awesome! We will be back!

Such a great dinner! Even on a busy, Friday evening, our server made sure everything was to our satisfaction. (I highly recommend the meatloaf. It's advertised as just like mom used to make... but mom never matched this caramelized sauce!)

We stop in frequently for coffee and lunch or a snack.. Baked goods are made in-house and are delicious. The coffee (dark and stormy or regular blend) is a must and if you like root beer floats...they still taste like you remember!

Had their "Peameal Bacon with Poached Eggs" this morning. Delicious! I have eaten their ice cream cones throughout the Summer. The Cafe is a 30 second walk from downtown. Worth it to leave the main thoroughfare. Brilliant decor.
