Don't expect too much choice. And don't expect starters etc. But what you will get is solid, home cooked food (and decent beer! And a welcome! We ordered faggots and chips and liver and onions. The faggots were flavoursome and the chips HAND COOKED! whilst the liver wasn't over cooked and succulent and the gravy it was in tasty!
Proper pub unlike the rest of the drinking establishments in Machynlleth have eaten in there in the past good wholesome food , unfortunately the chef was ill during our visit so no food available , Steve the landlord pleasant friendly guy , not one to be missed if ever your staying local , many thanks Steve Kim
Called in for lunch on our way to Prestatyn from Cardigan because it was about halfway. The spaghetti bolognaise was beautiful as were the tuna sandwich and the soup but the chips were to die for. Very friendly welcome and lovely setting. We would highly recommend a visit to this place you won’t be disappointed

Lovely warm welcome, nice on cosy, Guinness was spot one. Children were welcome and homemade food as well, well worth a visit.
Brilliant pub and staff where friendly and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble. We ate there 3 times and enjoyed our meals.
