A good place for casual dining including families of all ages and celebrations. We went tonight, 4 adults, main meals and drinks for a catch up. A bit noisy but nothing more than expected from a pub. The venue was full of people of all ages. Drinks from the bar, bottled beer or tap. Tried their special Furphy for $6 a pint, not bad. Wines by the glass or bottled, reasonable prices. You place your order at the counter and receive a vibrating buzzer to let you know when meals are ready. Very good selection from menu and specials board. Ordered scotch fillet, pork rib eye, beef and cashew salad and cesar salad. All of a good standard and good price. We even used $5 meal voucher from shop a dock...
Daughter and I had lunch today at the bistro. When ordering I mentioned I was sharing with my daughter. And was then told that is not acceptable. But he would let me do it today. At that point I seriously consider telling him to stick it. Also ordered cheesy garlic bread. For some reason our buzzer went off, but the table that ordered at least 5 minutes after me got up and took my garlic bread. So the waitress organized another one for us which arrived at the same time as the main meal. Extremely disappointed, chips were cold and a bottle tomato paste was used in the parma.
Our family group of 20 had Mother's Day lunch here. There was not a lot of healthy choice meals on the menu. The pumpkin ravioli was drowned in a creamy thick pumpkin like sauce. The ravioli were hard. The chicken parmas were horrible. The cheese was smelly and tasted off. I doubt the parmas were cooked fresh as it tasted as if they were just warmed under the grill to melt the cheese. The chips were cold and tasteless. The live music was way too loud to even be able to have a conversation with the person sitting next to you. Poor value for money.
A friend and I went here last Saturday for dinner. It was very crowded and noisy, sometimes this can sometimes be a good thing meaning good value. How wrong we were. It took 40mins to line up and order dinner, pumpkin ravioli with pine nuts and cherry tomatoes and nasi goreng. It took over an hour to get our meals. My ravioli was gluggy, had no pine nuts and one half of a cherry tomato. It was like a sticky, tasteless thick stew. My friends nasi goreng had overcooked, sticky rice. Never again.

This place was great until only a month ago or so. The menu has changed, $5 kids meals are no longer offered, there is no longer complementary bread rolls and the desert selection has also become very limited.The last time we ate there after the menu change the food was over cooked and we were left feeling very disappointed. These changes are very unfortunate as we use to eat here frequently and now no longer visit.
I went to Skyways with a friend and our children for lunch on a Saturday. I had booked our the day before and requested near the playground.We had a lovely lunch (warm beef salad) and were able to talk while our 3 children entertained themselves in the great play area. There were plenty of people in the venue for lunch, but it was never noisy. The staff were lovely and very helpful
Gave it a go after giving it a wide berth for a couple of years. Should have continued to give it a wide berth. Has become a bogans pub, with 2nd rate meals. Wife had steak sandwich which the steak wasn't cooked, I had veal snitzel. Want veal and crumbed with some sort of a coating and deep fried. Will go somewhere else locally in future.
Whilst my wife was finnishing her shopping at Woolworths across the road I dropped in for a pint of Furphies which was only $6.I did not dine at this venue however noted the blackboard specials of $12 at the Sports Bar. There was an extensive range at this price.

I've enjoyed good meals here lately with friendly helpful staff , this bistro is close to home so l hope the all round good effort continues.
