The prices are reasonable and the wait time is acceptable, but parking is difficult. The atmosphere is very loud, making it hard to hear even the person sitting next to you. The restaurant is always busy, but it is in a good location. I highly recommend the cheesy bread appetizer for both kids and adults - it's delicious! The Alfredo sauce was also very tasty. The tea was a bit unusual, but the stuffed calamari was not too chewy. The spaghetti squash spaghetti was not as good as my homemade version, but it was still enjoyable to try. I must say that the food at this restaurant is truly authentic. I tried the chicken parlor and it was out of this world! The flavors were amazing and everything was cooked to perfection. Unlike other places where I usually have to add salt, everything here was perfectly seasoned. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, especially our waitress who was exceptional. I wish I knew their names so I could give recognition, but everyone working there is focused on customer satisfaction, from the host to the busboy. Thank you again and I will definitely be returning soon!
Service was slow very few patrons. Two customers to a table. six customers all together in the restaurant. Three waitresses, 1 backup who delivered the food to the table, refilled drinks and took care of the patron and cleared the table dirty dishes. He was on top of it great job. The backup also brought out the containers filled them with the leftovers, to take home. Also brought the bill out and took it back to the cashier. What is going on with these waitresses. Did they have to cook? Did they have to do dishes? Whenever
I had a great experience at this restaurant. The food and service were fantastic. It's a cozy place with family-style seating, so you may sit close to other patrons. We had a nice chat with the people next to us. The prices were reasonable. The meatball appetizer, pizza, and caramel cheesecake were delicious. We brought our young children, ages 2 and 4, and they also enjoyed the food. It's definitely a family-friendly spot. The kids especially loved the pizza and meatballs.
I don't understand why they don't name this restaurant Sonny's Pasta and Pizza. The pasta was delicious, but the pizza was lacking. The cheese and sauce were tasty, but the dough was a disappointment for me. It had a pastry-like texture, which was intriguing but ultimately not to my liking. The pasta had a slight kick to it and was very flavorful. Overall, the pasta was the highlight of my meal.
During my week in town, I was looking for a cozy spot to enjoy some pizza and pasta. Sonny's turned out to be my new favorite restaurant! The margherita pizza was hands-down the best I've ever had. The ingredients were incredibly fresh, and the atmosphere was comfortable, nostalgic, and welcoming. If I ever find myself back in town, Sonny's will be a must-stop for me.
Wow, this was our first time trying this restaurant and we will definitely be returning. From the moment we walked in, everything was excellent. The pasta was delicious and portion sizes were generous. The pizza had a thin crispy crust and was topped with a variety of fresh ingredients. We will definitely be returning to this place.
The food here is really good Italian food. Amazing cheese and garlic bread. There marinara sauce was one of the best I have had. I loved the Lobster Ravioli with white sauce I ordered but you can request other sauces. The staff is extremely friendly. I tipped 30% because I liked the service.
Best pizza in San Clemente. I would have given 5 stars but the hostess was rude and smug for no reason at all. We wanted to sit down and spend some money there on some nice wine but we decided after her being so rude to take the pizza to go and not dine in.
