Spitiko - Tisch resevieren

Despite having been to most Greek establishments in Melb, Spitiko was one that I somehow missed.All the usual dishes are on the menu, including the buffet,. We opted for a wide selection of personally chosen dishes including mixed dips, saganaki, meatballs, sausages, lemon potatoes, salad, chicken gyros, lamb skewers which was more than enough for 4.When you select such an array of dishes a mix of great and ok is inevitable. First time to visit this restaurant. Recommended by Greek friends in Melbourne. Spitiko I understand means something like home made in Greek and the meals definitely had a feeling of good home cooking. First time I have ever been told to order the smaller meal in a restaurant as it was still ample eating. Luckily we listened to the advice and shared the 45 dollar banquet meal which was very delicious and a lot of food. Great night out good hospitable staff and tasty food for a reasonable price.

Melbourne has so many excellent family restaurants and this is one of them. From the moment you enter you are made very welcome. The service is very friendly, efficient and one gentleman in particular was very funny in a nice way.You are covered in all ways with the menu - you can just have a single meal or do a banquet style and the cost is very reasonable.The meals are fresh, full of flavor and plentiful.We will be back when in Melbourne next time.

Having tried many Greek restaurants in the past, this one is by far the best. All the food is traditional Greek, you have all the classic meals and drinks. The atmosphere from when you walk in and see the pictures on the wall, to when you see how your food is presented, makes you feel as if you're in Greece in a family kitchen. Generous, tasty meal served with excellent service. My fiancé and I ordered one serving of seafood platter, one serving of mixed meats and a delicious Greek salad. Despite our best efforts we were unable to clear the plates and glad we hadn't ordered starters (which also looked very tempting!). Reasonably priced delicious food with a special mention of the "melt in your mouth" calamari.

We went to Spitiko and used a living social voucher. The food was delicious and authentic and there was no problem at all when we requested to change the banquet a little (as opposed to other establishments who are rude and unbending when using vouchers).The staff were lovely and helpful and the decor was very nice. Highly recommended and we will be back ☺️
