I went to this restaurant for a birthday celebration. I absolutely love this place - the food is fantastic and the prices are very reasonable for the quality, it's almost like they are undercharging. The staff are friendly, bustling, and attentive. Even though they are always busy, they manage to efficiently cater to all the guests in a friendly manner. Overall, a great place with great food. I couldn't find any faults with this place.
Popped in on a Sunday afternoon and the staff were just rude! Ordered a drink and asked if they had food only to be told they were booked out….. despite there being a number of free tables! Once dismissed they ignored us. Take a tip… pop up to the Bells Inn where we went afterwards). The staff were lovely and welcoming and the food was lovely. This place only cares about their regulars …. Visitors were treated like lepers! No thanks!!!
Today we went for lunch at this wonderful traditional pub. The service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. The menu had a great variety of choices and we all agreed that the food was of high quality. The chef pays great attention to detail. We had a fantastic afternoon and it was definitely worth the journey from Kent. Thank you, Robin James.
This pub is a hidden gem with delicious home-cooked meals and a great atmosphere. The staff were incredibly accommodating and I stayed in one of their new, beautifully decorated apartments which had lots of thoughtful touches. Really yummy tapas! Came for boyfriend’s birthday celebration as we did the year before and was so happy! All the food is amazing, my faves being the arinchini, the chorizo, prawns, calamari so crisp and yum! Reasonably priced too. Would return
Only popped in for a post walk pint on a sunny evening. Avocet Ale from Exeter Brewery was in fine shape. Sat in the open area at the back of this friendliest of pubs and was very happy.
