We dined here on Father 's Day and as might be expected there were numerous parties doing the same thing. I 'll break this review into two parts. The service and the food. The service was slow and it took a long time to get our orders. The four of us were there almost three hours. To be perfectly fair, there was one server working that night and two bartenders were recruited to help in the dining room. These three people worked their rears off to take care of all the people there. For management to only have one server scheduled was just insane given the holiday. Very disappointed. The waitress was very pleasant. As she took our order nothing was written down. We joked about everything being remembered. Sure enough she came back later and asked...what wine did you order? Then she came back and said...we don 't have that wine you selected....a bottle of Scott Harvey Barbara Selected a glass of lesser vintners. Loss of $27 dollars to the business. Wife ordered the chicken marsala. Chicken was tough. Needed a steak knife to cut it. I ordered Filet mignon. The menu did not mention it was bacon wrapped. I don 't like pork with my beef. I’ve eaten there before and been happy. This last visit on Mother’s Day (with reservations) was not impressive. No one greeted us when we walked in. Took forever to get drinks. No one explained there was “buffet only” until menu was requested. $35 per person and food was ok, not worth the money. Line was slow due to inexperienced carver or dull knife. Ran out of some food items during brunch hours and still charged $3 for each beverage. My bill was $172 for four ladies and no alcohol. I would not have made reservations if I knew buffet was only option
Our server was great, but she was way overworked and couldn't give us the attention we should have received. Our meal was downright gross. I mentioned it was my boyfriends birthday and no one went out of their way to do anything. The kitchen staff needs to be re-assessed. When you're paying 40 dollars for a steak, you would expect it to be perfectly cooked or at least someone to come check in to ask how everything is so you could send it back.

I was quite disappointed as I had gone on line to select my meal before I arrived at the restaurant based on the on line menu on the restaurant web site. When I opened the menu at the restaurant the menu did not match the online version. Two of the items I wanted were no longer on the menu, beet salad and roasted veggie wellington. The website needs to be updated. What I ordered was good but not really what I wanted.
I ordered the prime rib. It was tough and chewy. The worst I've ever had. My wife ordered a seafood pasta dish that she couldn't finish because the flavor was too intensely citrus. When she told the waitress that fact the waitress immediately brought us our check as if to dismiss us. She never asked us if we wanted desert, which we did. We got our desert at Luka's down the street.
The restaurant was fantastic, with prompt service and food that surpassed expectations. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The only minor drawback was the abbreviated wine list; they were out of most of the options available. However, they mentioned that they were in the process of updating it, which I believe to be true.
Beautiful, historic building. Incredible service! Bar has a speak-easy feel. Salmon was tasty. We'd definitely go back!

The service was excellent. The only thing I would comment on is that the stuffed pork tenderloin was dry.
There has been a major turnover of staff. Staff in training. Inventory is in need of growth.
