A M A Z I N G. Wow...finally a great Greek restaurant in this city! I was totally impressed with the menu, cleanliness and atmosphere of this little gem. I was even more impressed when my waitress informed me that the Gyro was homemade (not that frozen cone thing other restaurants serve). As I questioned the waitress further (I have strict dietary needs) it became apparent that the majority of the menu is homemade...right down to the sinfully delicious BAKLAVA! This has become one of my favourite places to dine and my kids love it too! I really don't mind driving across the city to eat a homemade meal and it's so affordable!
OPA!! Stathis Grill!!. If you enjoy Greek cuisine, you'll definitely appreciate Stathis Grill. The dishes are delicious and the prices are quite affordable. It's an ideal spot for a meal with your family, or even for business lunches. The gyro is outstanding and the food is always fresh. The staff is incredibly friendly. Once you give it a try, you'll likely become a regular customer like myself.
I've been fortunate enough to eat at this new restaurant a couple times since it's opening. I've had a few menu items however my favorites are easily the gyro and the sausage burger. Another thing I never pass up when I'm in the area is their featured soup. And usually take one to go for the next day, especially if it's cabbage potato. I am now a regular that lives on the otherwise of the city.
This restaurant serves the most authentic gyro I've had in Canada! While it may be a bit pricier than other gyros, it's definitely worth it. They even added fries to my order when I asked, just like they do in central Athens. The restaurant is clean and has a great atmosphere. I will definitely be returning in the future!
