Due to how busy the tavern was, and since we were 3 adults with a small child, we chose to go to the Publick House restaurant for dinner Saturday night. We had reservations. We were seated at the same time another group was seated and a half hour later we were still waiting on any acknowledgement or even some water. The other table were now enjoying their drinks and appetizers. Finally a young man came to our table stating he would be our server, also informing us he was the bartender. He left to get our drinks and now we were stuck on a long wait again (we could see he was making drinks for other tables). When he came back we asked for a manager. Party of nine celebrating a 55yr wedding anniversary turned nightmare. Not only was the service terrible, the food was also unimpressive. It's difficult writing a review like this, however it must be told. A once nice place to dine, is now a place to avoid. From drinks taking 1/2 hour, nobody checking on our table, water was so awful, the chlorine was so strong. no plates for appezitzers, no mention of dessert. Everything was off. Just a horrible experience and management couldn't have cared less. My parents were very upset and our family will never return. So many fabulous restaurants in the area. This place is definitely not one of them.
We went to the tavern side and for starters the building is killer. Such a rustic design it was an experience just to dine there. We had just been traveling all day from VA and we finally got to sit down and have a cold beer and some amazing food. Theservice was excellent, the food was excellent and the beer options were killer. Can't complain about a single thing. Definitelyrecommend and I wish there was one of these down where we live in VA.
The service was good. All the food was terrible. Clam chowder like wallpaper paste could not eat more than 2 spoonfuls. Bad cod dry with tasteless hard rice. The salad had croutons if you were not careful would have broken a tooth. These are not difficult dishes to make--or can they not get a new chef bec there are none to hire??? I don't get it.

We ate at Stoneforge two Saturdays ago. I had the seafood jambalaya and got very sick with food poisoning in the middle of the night. I contacted the restaurant via email and via the customer service link on their website to alert them to the risk of food borne illness. No reply. Will probably not risk dining there again.
Fish and Chips . Presented without comment. Honestly the fish was pretty decent, and this place is gold if you dine in, but yes, when the chef lets something leave the kitchen that he was clearly cackling about, I 'm gonna tell people. Your food is not cheap and this was not amusing.
I did not eat food here so my rating isn't based on the quality of the food. However I was here for drinks. I sat at an outdoor bar on a pleasant summer afternoon and listened to live music. Good draft beer and good service.
Been coming to this place for a while now but not lately came the other night Price is one up crazy high ordered a seafood platter I got one scallop five fried clams three shrimp small piece of fish for $34 won't be back

The food was very good. North Atlantic cod was perfectly cooked. Tortellini and steak tips were good but only three tips. Fried ice cream was delicious. Hostess could have been friendlier.
Great spot..quiet with a little atmosphere...the NY Strip was fantastic
