Went today to there Christmas launch. Ordered a brie and cranberry toastie and a cup of tea, after half an hour a senior guy came to tell me no brown bread, a series of cheifs had not got things right! Ok, I will have white.... After another 20 mins a lady very panicked came to tell me no brie!!!! I agreed to having a coronation chicken sandwich as running out of time. After flagging to the guy. Then eventually arrived over an hour later. Three pieces of chicken in the whole sandwich! Goodness, there were from what I could see 9 members of staff on duty but all chasing their tails. I have run lunch time service for 300 covers with 8 members of staff for an hour! These guys need to sort their...
Emma stands out as the standout employee at this cafe. It's rare to receive such friendly service from servers nowadays, and she was delightful. The service at the counter was also efficient and fast. Our toasties were visually appealing, served with a side salad, pretty coleslaw, and crisps. Our only complaint was that they were slightly soggy due to being under-toasted. However, we still enjoyed our visit to the well-decorated and lively cafe. Service: Dine in.
I come to this restaurant frequently with my mother for special occasions like birthdays, Mother's Day, afternoon tea, and Christmas. The food is outstanding, fresh, high quality, with very efficient service. It offers great value and has a lovely atmosphere, especially during Christmas with beautiful decorations in the cafe. I chose roast pork with cauliflower, roast potatoes, boiled potatoes and peas! One of the worst meals I have ever had, cauliflower was rock hard, the roast potatoes seemed as though they were left over from previous day, in fact the whole meal tasted as though it was warmed up! Previously, I'd had roast lamb and it was delicious, I won't be dinning there anytime soon, sad to say! Meal type: Lunch
