After a visit to a family celebration of 7 including 2 vegans and a vegetarian to raglan castle (it is worth visiting) it was brilliant to find a pub in the small rural village that could serve not only vegetarian, but vegan. ok there was only a vegan main course on the menu, but it was excellent. that is the only reason why I didn't give the ship the full five stars. the atmosphere was very relaxed and the people were very friendly. we were allowed to bring a dog in and a 6-year-old grandson was welcomed. nothing was too much annoyed and there was no hurry, we were there a few hours and could have stayed longer.
Amazing little find. Stopped off on the way home from holiday. Were made to feel super welcome by Gemma. She was fab, super friendly, accommodating and couldn’t do enough for us. Although it’s a locals pub we were made to feel really welcome and the locals were lovely. The food is excellent value for money. It came out quickly, was all freshly prepared and the portions were extremely generous. I can’t rate this place highly enough. It’s everything a village pub should be. Will definitely return
We were passing through and we called in for lunch as they are dog friendly we ordered lunch I was not very hungry so they offered onion soup that was not on the menu it was fantastic the other meals were fantastic great for a snack The lady was very nice and helpful and the drinks were very good
We booked a table for the rugby and then dinner. Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff and great food. Good pub meals and great portions. Lovely children’s meal too. Only complaint, there was only one rose wine on offer which was disappointing. Definitely visit again.

Yet again great breakfast. Usually a few of us on a Friday . Can't fault bar staff great and great fun..
