We stopped here at The Ship and very glad we did! Down to earth and friendly service fantastic homemade lasagne and chips and good gammon and chips at a very reasonable price. Don’t go to the more upmarket hotel next door, they were v. stuffy rude about offering us a hot meal as they had no room in their restaurant but wouldn’t entertain us in the bar the lounge or the garden. We stopped by this restaurant on our way to Tintern and had a delightful breakfast. The food was delicious and great value for money, with excellent service. The atmosphere was also fantastic. We will definitely be returning in the future. They are also dog-friendly. Overall rating: Food 5, Service 5, Atmosphere 5.
