The place was cute had a lot of potential but the service was SLOW absent most of the time, we had to get some things for ourselves off the other tables ie: utensils, salt pepper etc. I wanted a cocktail but they couldn’t make it because they didn’t have the mixer, so I had to choose something else. Our food came, mine was wrong some parts of it were raw! My husbands burger was over cooked dry. Maybe their best items are their BBQ... so if you decide to go there try that nothing else!! I’ve worked in the food service industry for 10 years so I can say this place needs some fine tuning they should get it together. We were only there to see a band play- which they double booked both bands had...
To start, we waited for more than an hour before anyone even noticed us. When the person who seated us finally came over, they showed no remorse, even though we had to flag down a server to take our order. Unfortunately, the poor service did not come as a surprise. What truly disappointed us was receiving our food 45 minutes later, only to find it was ice cold. It was obvious that no effort was made to warm it up. Who serves cold food, especially cold meat?! At that point, my husband was already famished so we didn't bother sending the food back, but we will never return. The restaurant should be embarrassed by their lack of quality and service.
I tried this resturant because it was one NJ 2018 best places to eat. The customer service was excellent. I went right after work on a Thursday, so there was no crowd, which meant the service was good and quick. I ordered the barbecue spare ribs, which is obviously premade, however, they were not hot at all and I think that took away from the taste. I ordere the rum punch, which the waiter indicated was a nice strong alcholic beverage, it was not. It tasted like it had no alchol whatsoever and I'm not that much of a drinker. it was just an okay place to go to me.
My son and I decided to give this restaurant a try, but we were extremely disappointed. Our food arrived in just 5 minutes, but it was not hot – in fact, it was barely warm. My well-done crispy fries were neither hot nor crispy. The iced tea had a very strong lemon flavor. The restaurant itself was cold, with the staff wearing heavy sweaters and us needing to keep our winter jackets on. Additionally, the parking lot was dark.

They ran out of ribs and let us know after waiting about 40 minutes for entrees. The brisket was excellent but the service on this day was very poor.
The waiter was great but the food was nothing to brag about. The live band was in the way. You had to walk over them just to use the restroom.
Food was good and plentiful. Service was wonderful with Colette. Bartender was wonderful.
Food was good, catfish. But no sides included? Great band Blackstone!
