Good food but very slow compared to other Swiss Chalets that we have visited. Restaurant was fairly busy on a Friday evening but still a one hour wait after ordering is not what one expects or wants when going to this type of restaurant. We chose this restaurant because of its reputation for quick service and the fact that we were somewhat short on time and were disappointed in that regard. The food quality was good though and the staff very friendly and apologetic.
I only went to this restaurant as a backup option. The wait for our initial service was very long, and the wait for our food was even longer - almost 1 hour. When our food finally arrived, the roast beef was mostly fat and the crispy chicken had hardly any chicken in it. The waitress was terrible, prioritizing other tables over us. I had to actually ask her where our food was, which has never happened to me before. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
I enjoyed using the app on my phone. It was easy to use and the images made it quick to find what I wanted. However, despite arriving 5 minutes early for my pickup time, my order wasn't ready until 10 minutes after the scheduled time. I had to wait a total of 15 minutes, whereas in the past I have only waited 10 minutes when ordering at the counter. Apart from a cold mixed veg side, everything else was very good. I particularly loved the chicken!
Whenever we visit Thunder Bay, we always make sure to dine at this restaurant. Their gluten-free chicken and sauce are delicious, and they even have a separate fryer for gluten-free French fries. This particular Swiss Chalet has a dedicated fryer for gluten-free fries! Just ask and they will take a few extra minutes to heat the oil. The chicken, chalet sauce, and mashed potatoes are all gluten-free. The staff appears to be very well-informed about their gluten-free options.
Called the 1-800 number to order my chicken club wrap with fries - was told a delivery time - when the time was up I called to see if food was on its way - I was told should be here in few minutes - had to call back 30 minutes to see where the food was -
The service was quick but there was no rush to finish your meal. The food was delicious, hot, flavorful, and overall excellent.

While traveling through the area, we stopped in for lunch I had soup and a half chicken wrap sandwich meal.
