The street level entry is about 8 up, and the washroom is on a separate level, about 8 steps up and no grab bars in stalls. My husband uses a walker and online comments indicated it was wheelchair accessible (the official website does NOTmake this claim) so we were concerned upon arrival. Staff were exceedingly helpful in assisting him from our table to the toilet and back, but it could not be considered. Fortunate...
I have loved Meson for a long time and have been eagerly anticipating dining at its sister restaurant, Tapeo. Finally, on my birthday, I had the chance to try it out. I played it safe and ordered my favorite dishes: garlic shrimp, mushrooms, tartar, and calamari. The shrimp was fantastic, but the mushrooms were a bit strange. I found them edible, but not particularly enjoyable. The calamari was decent, but nothing exceptional compared to what I have had in other restaurants. We were a group of 10 and had reserved the back table, a small semi-private section. It was perfect for our family occasion.The staff were very attentive and friendly, even to small children.What can I say about the food except that everyone found it excellent. Even the children were impressed.My girlfriend and I have been traveling to Barcelona annually for several years now, and we both agree. We had an incredible experience at Tapeo. We really enjoyed the wine list and our server was able to make pairing recommendations based on what we ordered. We had a lot of tapas and then the half portion of paella, churros and espresso martinis for dessert. Everything was perfect- but our favourite dishes were the Spanish omelette, piri piri chicken, paella, and beef tartar. The atmosphere was on point and our server was awesome! If you have a group of diverse taste buds, this is the place to go! There are sharing plates for everyone. I strongly recommend to ask about their tasting menu.Some of my favorite dishes there were the octopus, tuna albacore, the beans, and the garlic shrimp.The place was packed so it's a bit noisy but other than that the vibe is great!
Tapas offers delicious shareable bites that are not large portions, but their food is so good that you'll want to order more! The service is friendly and the vibe is great. I will definitely be returning for more. Be sure to make reservations, as it's nearly impossible to walk in without one.
Welcoming and cozy ambiance! Very friendly and professional employees. The sharing plates were very well balanced and tasteful. We enjoyed 3/4 tapas we ordered. My favorite of the night was the grilled octopus cooked on point and the flavors were amazing!

It was my second visit to this restaurant after many years, and it was still exceptional! The stuffed peppers, Brussels sprouts, and tomatoes with goat cheese were all fantastic. Everything was amazing, truly amazing!
