My group and I stumbled upon Thai Hut while walking along Main Street during the Early Iron Festival, Alamosa's popular car show on 9/2/2023. Despite the noisy festival atmosphere, we had a mostly enjoyable dinner. While my partner and I agreed that the sushi restaurant down the street was slightly better, Thai Hut used to be located nearby according to our friendly waiter. I tried the spring rolls ($5.95) which were alright, but my daughter wasn't a fan. The crab rangoon ($5.95) was good, and the egg rolls ($5.95) were really tasty. Thai hut is a meat-centric place but has several items they can veganize on request. Just be sure to make it clear that you don’t want fish sauce, oyster sauce, shrimp paste, egg, or meat. When I was placing my order this time, the gentleman cheerfully said he could make their noodle dishes vegan, but then asked if I want eggs, saying that “some vegans say eggs are OK,” so a little extra clarity couldn’t hurt here. The pad Thai with tofu and the lard nah with veggies (both ordered without fish sauce, egg, etc) were satisfactory. Unfortunately their take-out containers are far from eco-friendly, so consider dining in or bring your own containers if you can.
The food at this restaurant was not only delicious, but also very affordable. We ordered fried tofu, a vegetarian sushi roll, vegetable red curry, and cashew stir fry, which we enjoyed for both lunch and dinner. The staff was knowledgeable and our food arrived promptly. My dining companion and I opted for the Panang Curry with tofu and the Vegan Sushi Combo platter. Both dishes were exceptional and served promptly. I would definitely recommend this spot for a satisfying dinner. The cozy atmosphere and excellent service were also noteworthy.
We had a great experience at this restaurant. The waiter was very friendly and happily showed us which dishes on the menu could be made vegan. We loved the fresh spring rolls, a delicious garlic and vegetable dish, as well as the flavorful massaman and panang curries.
My partner really enjoys the Panang curry with tofu. The pad Thai (without egg) was also delightful! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is relaxing. The tofu appetizer was excellent too. We also tried the vegan teriyaki box for lunch, and it was delicious.

We ordered the cashew tofu and they made my husband a vegetable lo-mein style meal. Everything was fresh and delicious! They also have a vegan box with lots of goodies on their lunch menu.
