Having worked in the industry myself, I am usually hesitant to criticize staff members online. However, I must say that our experience with Hannah on Saturday was the worst service I have ever encountered. She gave us the wrong drink and when we asked for it to be remade, she was extremely rude and refused, telling us to leave if we didn't like it. A male bartender tried to help us, but she told him not to serve us. Other customers in the bar were shocked by her behavior and later agreed that it was incredibly rude. We wouldn't return to this restaurant because of Hannah. We had spent several hours at this pub, and towards the end of the night, we were asked to leave for no apparent reason. Hannah was incredibly unprofessional and treated us disrespectfully. After reading reviews on other sites, it seems we're not the only ones who have had a negative experience with her. She was aggressive and unnecessarily rude. The rest of the staff was polite, but Hannah clearly needs some customer service training and basic manners before interacting with customers. Only been here once before, came to watch the football, it was a lovely relaxed environment, great music on the speakers and would come back again- the private garden in the back was a nice touch! Loved all the little touches like the board games and video game machine-brought me back to the good old days…10/10 for that! Only quabble was the environment on the opposite side of the venue- a bit unfriendly, put my name on the board for pool but had to wait a long time. I needed to book a venue at very short notice as part of my daughters Hen celebrations. Taro was excellent. He arranged a room, communicated clearly and promptly including giving me his personal mobile and texting me out of his work hours with progress. He arranged food, staffing etc and my daughter and friends had a seamless night which otherwise would have been very disappointing. Taro you're a credit to the pub! We only had a few days in Bath but since we were staying around the corner from the Assembly we decided to make it our local . Taro was the bartender both nights and he took great care of us. We celebrated our finish of the Cotswold Way with Pimms cocktails and Taro made them extra special for us. I am returning in July and I hope Taro is back tending the bar.
The restaurant is a very friendly bar with a great atmosphere. There are two excellent pool tables on one side for those who enjoy playing pool, while the other side is more relaxed. The TV screens throughout the restaurant show most major sporting events.
Great atmosphere, reasonably priced drinks and lovely bar staff especially short blonde lady who served me the other night, a couple of rowdy men were giving us some hassle and she dealt with it brilliantly.

Horrible. Unfriendly. Full of locals who are horrible to anyone coming in. Wouldn’t recommend. Never coming back to this pub, because unless you’re a local, they will hate you.
