Awesome birthday party at The Blue Horse Restaurant! We had a bday luncheon for my mom at this new restaurant and we were not disappointed! Jeff, one of the owners, was incredibly accommodating and helpful. Our wait staff Brenda and Jeff were very attentive and professional. The giant pretzel appetizer was a hit as were the beef burgers and the veggie burgers. We will be back! My hubby and I had dinner here last night and we can't wait to return to have the General Tso's Cauliflower! The calamari, fish and chips and the short ribs were also delicious. Maybe we'll try the coconut chicken and kielbasa and spetzel. So many great choices!
Highland Park offers beautiful local cuisine at this restaurant, which is managed by the same team behind Skylark Diner and Pines Manor. The beverage and beer selection is excellent, as are the appetizers. We tried the General Tso's cauliflower and were impressed. There is a good variety of vegan options available, with the Vegan Chili being a standout. The service was top-notch and there is live music in the bar area. Outdoor seating is available during the season. We will definitely be returning, especially for the Sunday brunch from 11AM-3:00PM.
Upon first glance, The Blue Horse in Highland Park may not seem like much. However, it is truly a hidden gem! We received excellent service from our waiter, Vincenzo, and the manager, Joe, also made sure everything was top-notch. The appetizer we ordered, the Pommes platter, was a hit with our children. The kids' menu offered standard options at a reasonable price of $4.95. The adults enjoyed burgers and vegan chili, both of which were absolutely delicious. Overall, The Blue Horse is a must-try dining experience!
My husband and I have found our new go-to restaurant! The atmosphere is fun and the food is on point!!! Make sure to try the General Tso’s cauliflower and garlic shrimp appetizers. Both were great, but the cauliflower was amazing! Three people out of our party of 6 ordered the short ribs and practically licked their plates clean Our server was super attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Can’t wait to go back!

The Blue Horse Restaurant is where I met the best of my life and we decided to have our wedding reception at the same place we met for the first! Just got back from family and friends event, the owners all were friendly and helpful. Staff was very professional, bartenders were courteous and attentive and very good. Never had an empty glass and we’re very knowledgeable of menu and desserts. The food was outstanding and plentiful. Will definitely be going back. Recommend very highly!
