This is a fantastic little diner that has carefully curated its offerings from start to finish. I stopped by after a visit to Tulane and waited for about five minutes before ordering at the counter, where things kicked off nicely. I started with a cup of delicious gumbo, followed by a Harry's sandwich stuffed with pot roast and cheese, all topped with grilled onions. It was amazing! Our server was the coolest guy ever and took the time to explain how they season their native filé. We had a great conversation, and the food was incredible in this charming little spot.
I have passed camellia grill so many times before, but from what ground I have never eaten there. Now, on the day of the father we had no plans and I thought it was a good day to give him a shot. it's smaller than I thought, but I liked that feeling. the whole food was delicious! the reason for my 4 stars is just because I felt it was a little expensive for a diner. for 2 adults and 2 children we have spent $91 (with tipp).
This is one of my favorite places to dine when we visit family in the area. The omelettes are outstanding, and the atmosphere is truly unique. The chef's special omelette was just as amazing as it sounds—definitely worth a try! The pancakes are a highlight as well. If I could give Camellia more stars, I absolutely would!
Wow, this was absolutely delightful! I was not expecting breakfast to be this amazing! I made sure to savor every single bite. The service was outstanding as well! The Camellia Grill is the best spot in town for classic southern comfort diner food! I got the hashbrowns, grits, bacon, and chocolate pie when I was there last. The food was delicious and the service was incredible super friendly staff that made you laugh and feel like family!
this place is perfect. if they were wondering where the customer service went, he's here. great breakfast and lunch place. big shakes and hamburger to good trips. but when they're done, they have a piece of their chocolate cake, it's crazy.
It seems like good hangover food! Too bad I wasn't hungover. The staff looks like they work very hard. But the food wasn't good. Just like every restaurant in New Orleans is becoming. Over priced, for low value meals.
