The Copper Grouse is one of the nicest restaurants in Manchester. The restaurant is located within the Kimpton Taconic and is absolutely beautiful inside. We've had breakfast and dinner here many times, and like how the menu is unique to Vermont cuisine. They do a fantastic job at changing it around frequently as well. The food has always been outstanding, the dozen or so times that we have eaten here. Needless to say, we'd highly recommend the Copper Grouse!
We enjoyed a fantastic lunch at this restaurant, indulging in wagyu beef burgers with truffle fries. The food was very delicious. The wine selection available by the glass was also impressive. Our only issue was that most of the tables had water marks on the wood, making them look unclean even though they were in fact clean. It would be a nice touch to add tablecloths to enhance the welcoming atmosphere and make a better first impression.
Fantastic location in the center of a quaint Ski town. Modern victorian tavern vibes with a menu crafted with vast local ingredients. The “Wagyu” Ribeye sourced in Vermont was lacking marbling throughout the muscle, but had large veins of fat true to the ribeye cut. My family has been dining at the Copper Grouse for years, but we were incredibly disappointed with our meal tonight. The $26 burger was no better than something you would find at a fast food joint, the swordfish was undercooked and cold, and the service was terrible. It's such a shame to see such a negative change in a restaurant we used to enjoy.
I absolutely adore this place! The food is consistently amazing and the staff is very friendly. The ambiance is inviting and comfortable.
