Despite a few mixed reviews, we were excited to try the District. It was a great success and we will return. We were greeted warmly and seated almost immediately despite being a bit early for the reservation (parking can be a challenge on surface lots or streets). Bailey did a great job as our server and started us out with some truly tasty signature cocktails the Packard is a hit. It was a special night so we tried appetizers, starters, entrees, and dessert. The sea scallop appetizer was tremendous. The wedge salad and lobster bisque were good the bisque was filling but the broth not quite what I have had in the past. If you are looking for a great steak in downtown Pensacola then check out the District Steak and Seafood. I had the most perfect dry aged New York Strip. No sauce needed cooked to perfection at medium for me. The side of Brussels sprouts were cooked toperfection with a crispy caramelized outer shell. Our waiter Gabriel was knowledgeable about the wine selections. The breadpudding is a must if you are looking for a delicious dessert. So far the best I have had in many years.
We were twice here during our 2-weeks vacation. Gorgeous place, but I from all the menu I enjoyed only beef carpaccio and cocktail with lavender syrup. Raw Oysters are not clean, burger has awful meat, salads have not fresh green leaves, steaks arejust normal, nothing special. The second visit service was disappointing. They do not follow your orders? details. First time Ididn?t leave any tips in a restaurant. Don?t think we come back again.
My wife and I had dinner here Saturday before attending the Saenger Theater for Swan Lake. Our server Mark was fantastic, and it is always wonderful to see someone take their job seriously and with such passion. Mark nicely explained all the menu options,and he was extremely attentive. The food itself, the drinks and the staff were all great. I was disappointed in a few things; first, as at all steak houses I have been to, I expected great bread to start and there was none. Very disappointing. The filet medallions were just chunks, not really medallions. But they did taste great and presentation was very good too. Otherwise, overall it was very good.
Excellent food. Ordered the shrimp as an appetizer which was very good. Wife ordered the filet and I ordered the ribeye. Both were superb. Cooked to perfection! They even gave us a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. Ralph was an excellent waiter.Will be back again for more special occasions!
This is a must if your visiting Pensacola! The whole downtown area is great and so is The District! Me and the family thoroughly enjoyed our meal. First class all the way around. Great service, and Great high quality food cooked to perfection! Probably oneof the best steaks Ive ever had! Well done
