The new sterility of dining is understandable, but no excuse for indifferent food. The pork roast of the day was a basic meal of thickly sliced, tasteless meat on roasted, unpeeled, root vegetables with a lick of gravy, no trimmings, not even a green pea, bean or piece of broccoli. Had to ask for some apple sauce and mustard. A meal prepared by amateurs who have no idea that an Aussie pub roast should be a satisfactory meal. The Espy used to serve delicious, succulent roasts a few years ago. What happened? Shan’t return to endure such mediocre, tasteless food. We dine out to enjoy a meal, not to be offered bland, basic fare.
Most disappointing experience and I won’t be going back ever again due to terrible service and very poor management. Having made a 630pm booking we waited for 2.5 hours for our meals with no communication from staff or management and a room full of customers with no orders being served. No accountability taken from management to communicate to a room full of paying patrons. Large numbers of people walked out so we missed having dinner last night, what a disastrous business experience brought upon by terrible business etiquette customer service to its poorest form!
Pizza had waaay too much cheese and as a result was sickly. The waitress wouldn’t arrange for an iced coffee (we were in the Bistro) even when another waitress suggested she call the Cafe downstairs where they apparently make them. I had to go to get one myself and the waitress there kindly arranged to have it sent to the Bistro. Not great service.
in the past, eating here is in order, but today we were all disappointed at our meals. the steak was not properly cooked and a very poor meat cut, it was so crispy. the parmigiana was not properly cooked, the only saving gnade was the fish, everyone seemed happy with the fish and chips. we will not be back in a hurry for a meal? good priced was nice. but they provided the main course in advance. we were there for a birthday party had to ask for spoons and knives for a cake. I thought they had delivered this without asking. After we said that the employees would like to help when we asked. they were pleasant.
very disappointing tonight, went with family and friends. my meal came first, the others came much later. they had very little personal, was also busy relatiw. my daughter had a carving, was very small, not ur average size.
medium rare steak was medium heavy. Salt pepper squid was a medaille of calamari and spesquid. the excuse of the rod was nothing but stupid, then the manager.

Food was just ok. The food as the ESPY has certainly gone off over the last 18 months.
