It's a cozy little spot on the corner, and wow! The food is absolutely fantastic and worth every penny. The seating can be a bit tight, but it didn't bother us at all. I highly recommend the appetizers – the "chips with curry ketchup and horseradish mayo" were delicious! Their burgers are also amazing! We ordered the house burger without lettuce, and it was cooked to perfection, melting in your mouth! The salad was fresh and crisp! The beer selection was spot on – some great choices! Our visit to The Garrison House was truly one of our favorite dining experiences during our trip to Niagara On The Lake. After a long day spent on a self guided walking tour and a visit to Fort George, we were looking for an enjoyable, relaxing dinner and we were very pleased with what we found at The Garrison House.Quite simply, this restaurant's location means that it is beyond the frenzy of the restaurants on Queen Street. This place is perfect. The menu is small and that what makes this place great. Means the meals are usually great. Great care in how it all comes together. My family ordered the burger and fries. They loved it. I tired it. Very good. The fries are fresh and perfectly salted. I had the Lamb Korma. Being from Mississauga I’m very picky about my Indian food and this was amazing! Fresh, Lamb was tender and perfectly seasoned. If you like it hot you will have to order that on the side. I had it over rice with fresh peas, cauliflower and peas. Over some basmati rice. My husband and I recently dined at this restaurant, and it was an exceptional experience! The service was outstanding, and we truly enjoyed the drinks, especially the Empress 75 and Maple Old Fashion. The food was absolutely delicious—our favorites were the Prince Edward oysters, tofu, and black lager pie, all of which were simply melt-in-your-mouth good! It’s been a long time since we've had such an experience where everything exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend this place and will definitely make it a go-to spot whenever we are in town! As for vegetarian options, there are plenty to choose from!
Had the feature. My wife and I came here for the first time. We went with a featured beef dish. Aged for 30 days. With a dry rub, fingering potatoes. Over all the service was good. Sever was prompt and attentive. The steak I would say not bad but I've had better at milestones. Not worth making a trip just for this place. But if your in the area. It's a good place to eat. Good beer and wine selection. And the rest of the menu looked really good.
The restaurant offers a great selection of local beers on tap, including a variety of rotating guest taps. The food is consistently delicious, complemented by fantastic daily specials. Located in a nice setting with attentive service, we have visited many times and will definitely continue to return.
Delicious! We both had the burger and fries, and they were incredibly tasty. The fries are freshly cut, and we will definitely be returning. They have a great selection of local beers and wines. We also loved the decor and the wooden beams. The staff were very friendly!
Nice spot in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Food options range from burgers, to mussels, to schnitzel. Garrison House puts a twist on regular pub food. Wine and beer come from the area, allowing visitors to enjoy the amazing alcohol from the region! Great place for a cozy dinner.
The food was Great and the service was amazing. The price and portion size was also really good. The location isn't the best for the area and I wish they had a better location that felt less like a roadside restaurant.
