Dear Felan, Laura and the team We have enjoyed a lovely Sunday meal. Always cooked to order and well worth the wait. We enjoyed the superb soup, Sunday roast, gnocchi and desserts. Oh dear!. Went last year with family. Nice atmosphere, good food, efficient service So, went back again. Disaster,what has happened? Freezing cold, food poor, fish and chips smelt funny. BUT, worst of all arrived 12.15. Waited 10 m to order anything. Meal finally arrived 50 minutes later!!!!!! and quality taken a dive. That's one off the list!!! Don't go until they get their act together. Nearly an hour to get food on table really unacceptable
Back in our favourite cosy country restaurant. We absolutely love coming to the Golden cross, the warm welcome from The owners and the food is outstanding! A la cartè dining at a fraction of the cost you would pay in the nearest town of Stratford upon Avon. Our little gem of a place. Supporting local businesses not these big corporate company's. Keep doing what your doing guys your service, food and restaurant speak for themselves.
We had to wait an hour from when we sat down to when we received the food, and this seems like too much, maybe they need staff in the kitchen? However, I really enjoyed my dish with a vegetarian pie, with cauliflower/broccoli/cheddar...really good!
