We used to go to the Gorge Country Kitchen fairly regularly when visiting relatives nearby. It was consistently good. Hadn’t been for at least years until recently. Staff were still friendly and welcoming but food was a great disappointment. We ordered hot turkey sandwiches....The green and yellow beans were barely cooked, crunchy and worse, stringy. The turkey was tough and tasteless. (Pretty sure it had been frozen). I would have asked but waitress never asked how our meal was so didn’t bother. Worse turkey sandwich meal I’m pretty sure I’ve ever had. With the addition of one coffee and one ginger ale, the bill came to Sadly, we won’t be returning.
I was out with my year old mother and she has been to this restaurant many tomes and suggested we go there. The service was very good from start to finish. We both had the liver and onions. The liver was cooked well however...it was dropping in grease. I have never had liver served this way before. The fries were under cooked a bit but not a train wreck. I would probably go back to this establishment again and try something else. The sandwiches that the other tables were having looked quite good.
One of the better French Toasts I have had. Also ordered The Gorge Breakfast Melt which is a combo of things like eggs, onions, mushrooms, peppers, shredded potatoes and cheese. If your looking for something different to order this is a good choice. Have had...dinner there a number of times and always good. Never had any issues with service. Thanks Abby for the great service today. Good pies there to take home or for dessert. Greg
My husband and I go to Gorge Country Kitchen regularly. We order a wrap, Caesar salad and an order of fries which we share. I get a coffee, my husband a water. Today when I ask for a coffee refill our waitress said...the coffee isn’t...for sharing. WTF we just looked at her. We are years old and certainly could afford cups of coffee if we wanted! It really bugged us! Maybe the staff needs a refresher course on manners.
One of few places open on a Sunday evening. Great menu and food was terrific. Doing their best to serve a crowd on patio and inside tent. Was left to wait in an outside line, in blistering sun, hot and waiting. Hostess needed to be...a lot more obliging. Once in the waitress was terrific, food was quick and all was great!
We were pleased with all aspects of our meal. The food was tasty, plentiful and at a fair price. Our service was excellent from a wonderful young lady. We will return should we be back in Elora.
Food was barely warm. Fish was mostly batter. French Fries soft and mushy. minutes to get our main course. tables that enter after us received their food well ahead of us. Over priced.
Was here just last week enjoyed western sandwich it was delicious. Excellent restaurant for children’s breakfast quite a good portion. Meals were served in a timely manner.
Nice quaint place. Delicious food. Noce service. Cheap. Nice patio. Lots of space. Booths were a bit small
