I arrived on a weekday and there was a 15-20 minute wait. I really wonder what happens on weekends. It is obviously a very popular place. I am happy that it wasn't too long a wait. I was contemplating leaving the line when a staff member came and put me on the list. I had a lobster Benedict and a latte which was good. I love my Benedict, and my hollandaise slightly tart. The hollandaise wasn't as tart as I would like it. In my mind I was expecting a lobster tail on my Benedict. Would have made a great instagram post. But, sometimes, life doesn't happen the way you imagine it. It was nonetheless good. The service was prompt, and a tip, perhaps go early to avoid the queue.Would I have gone els...
This used to be my favourite cafe when I was living in Melbourne back in 2011. Ahh the memories. Now it seems like more of a touristy spot but still has the same warmth like in the past.Enjoyed our piping hot chai and baked eggs. I found the porridge a bit too sweet for my liking - would be nice to have sweetener on the side to add as required. Can't wait to be back again next time!
Prepare for a bit of a wait as this place is popular but it's well worth it! Staff were very attentive, took our names for a table and we were seated within 20 minutes. Great service and the food did not disappoint. Would highly recommend the baked eggs and the hot chocolate was to die for.
Perfect ingredients matched together for these plates of goodness. Waitress is friendly and helpful to get us settled down quickly. Luckily we were not stuck in any queue. VERY busy little French style cafe. Extensive menu, lovely food, great service. They have opened a cafe across the lane, which is a quicker alternative than waiting in a long line. Great coffee/hot drinks (but could have been a little hotter) very friendly service from waitstaff.
The breakfast gods delivered. Pork Belly was divine and ham benny was delicious and tasty. Coffee was great and service was attentive. We arrived not long after 9 am on a Sunday and there was a line up already but the turnaround was very quick.
We had the fried brioche, it was incredible. The flavour was balanced perfectly. The balance between the sweet and tart was perfect. The coffee and hot chocolate were excellent.
