The Harvester restaurant completely ruined our Christmas in 2023. We were seated right next to a toilet with people constantly passing by us while we were trying to eat. There was also a large family nearby allowing their children to run around half-naked. The restaurant was freezing cold as the heating was off. The starters were either cold soup or frozen microwaved brie. The main dishes consisted of overcooked vegetables and tough, tasteless meat with watery gravy. Dessert options were limited to a small piece of Christmas cake in lumpy custard or three profiteroles. We waited for almost an hour for our food! It was served by a rude woman. Not everything that came out was correct and we had to ask twice for the rest of our meal. The loaded onion rings were not actually loaded and most of the food was cold. When we asked for the bill, we had to wait another 15 minutes. The restaurant was freezing. The waitress was very friendly and was an absolute pleasure to deal with. We enjoyed a lovely Christmas day here, we were a large party and were catered for really well, all the meals were served hot and were delicious. Service was great and nothing was too much trouble.
