Mastry 's is perhaps the most enigmatic of the Tampa Bay area breweries: from the first time you visit, you 'll want to come back – yet if you 're rating the place on the beer alone, what 's most often brewed doesn 't stack up against the better local options (see my review on Grand Central and others who make the top cut . The beer was good. Now the bad part:They do not allow you to bring pizza over from across the street. We ordered food from the truck. The guy operating it seemed to be bothered by our order. The food sucked!A tour bus came with a group of guys. They brought a pizza over and ate it at the brewery. No body of the staff dared to tell them they could not do that. I asked about that and was told “Oh well, they are from the tour bus”. Thanks for discriminating against you normal customers.To your reply with the food: you have many bad ratings too!I informed the barkeep right as the pizza came to the table of this group. Glenn is the BEST, most fun, and most knowledgeable bartender I've met down here! He's the kind of guy you feel like you've known for a decade! The beer is excellent and the food was way better than expected. I LOVE the big band jazz vibe they always have there. It totally puts me the mood to drink. I feel awesome just walking in! What a great place. We had live music, great beers and a great time there. Also they serve great food there with new and recurring specials. If you get to St Pete, stop by, It'll be worth it!

Drove by tonite. Stopped in for a beer coz its 100 degrees. Glen the bar man could not have been kinder to this canadian. Had a taco and couple of ipa s on the fly. Just perfect.!
