Went here for a Sunday roast with family with high expectations given the menu prices. However, we all left feeling very disappointed and short-changed. Having all ordered the Sunday roast, we were served our plates of meat and vegetables for the table to share. The vegetables that we were served consisted of only 5 roast potatoes to be shared between the 4 of us, a small amount of cauliflower cheese, a few roasted root vegetables, and a small bowl of cabbage. I could maybe understand if the quality was very high. However, the 5 potatoes were deep-fat fried, and the rest of the food was below average. For over £25 per portion, we all felt very short-changed and left feeling we would have had...
Went for lunch with a colleague and found the place to be very welcoming. If I am honest I was a little underwhelmed with the lunchtime menu choice. The quality of the food I would personally consider at just above average. The place both inside and outside was very presentable, with a nice warm atmosphere, it was admittedly fairly quiet at the time, being a midweek afternoon. The main restaurant was pretty vast, plus there were additional areas to eat, including a nice outside courtyard I know the place has changed hands of late, it’s a decent start but think with a few tweaks it could be really good local pub/eatery
My father and I had the burger and it was severely over cooked. The patty itself was similar in quality to something I'd get from Tesco. Not worth the money. The service was great though and the waiter and bartender were very helpful and cheerful. Everything else was good but the kitchen needs to up it's game if they want to justify the high prices they charge.
Bar staff very helpful with food choices they know their menus very well always a friendly smile and willing to please well worth a visit quality cost's you get a lot of quality via the staff food drinks that's why we go back month after month
we will soon go to the opposite and have visited twice recently. very friendly helpful staff and the pub is dog friendly! , good quality and worth and very beautiful presented. would be recommending
Wonderful lunch. Beautifully presented and veggie friendly. It’s so nice to see vegetarian/vegan options that are unique and creative. This is our third visit and we will definitely be back!
Great looking pub and restaurant A Little expensive. Acquired taste and unusual food Owned by French So if u like French and English U will Love this place
