The Local Eatery Pub

Well. That was disappointing. $107 for sad, cold, burned food. The fried pickles were cut into tiny bits that were just...weird. The empanadas weren't drained of the grease and fell flat. I ordered a burrito bowl, medium rare. It was COLD and rare. The rice and the beef, seemingly staight from the fridge. My son and husband both ordered the Local burger, medium well. Both were charred. The fries were little bits, clearly from the bottom of the barrel. We would have brought these issues to the attention of the server, but we didn't see her for 20 minutes. I would love to give this place five stars and the pub side certainly deserves it. The food and service on that side was great but unfortunately it’s attached to the lounge/whiskey bar which is not at all managed well. We came in and had dinner in the pub side and was excited to see the whiskey bar next door as part of the same establishment. When we went in, we were immediately met by the bartender informing us he was full with half the place empty and it would be about 30 minutes to get in. We waited and 30 minutes later I looked in to only 3 tables taken. This is not some speak easy with an exclusive member list. Unfortunately you ruined the trip for us.

We were sat pretty quickly but the people after us not so much. The hostess/waitress avoided acknowledging the people that were waiting to be seated. Someone came in for a reservation and still ended up waiting a good half hour and half of that which were not even greeted. It took forever to get the initial water and a the drink order in but ended up ordering all the way thro8gh because we waited so long . I have to say the bartender was amazing and took great care of us. The waitress never came back to see if we wanted more to drink or anything.

2nd visit. First time, we had already eaten, but read the menu and knew we had to come back to eat. Dry aged burger is AMAZING. Manicotti was also top notch. Amazing drink selections, with a great unique atmosphere The customer service here is the cherry on tip. We will definitely visit again and again. Keep up the great work Local team

The Local is a great bar in downtown Mount Holly, come for the whisky, stay for the food and fantastic service.
