Not what it used to be. I visited this restaurant last weekend for a pre-dinner drink. Although I had made a reservation in advance, we were told to sit wherever we liked (I wonder what would have happened if the place had been full). Our waiter was carelessly dressed and forgot to take an order from one of our guests (there were only four of us at the table). In the past, ordering off-menu was easy, but this time it was met with confusion. The drinks were all considered fairly average, and my rum and coke was served without any ice. The decor is lovely, but the staff's training and overall standards seem to be lacking.
I didn't try any food, but the cocktails were excellent, and the family at the table next to us seemed very pleased with their meal! The atmosphere was pleasant, and it was great to see that the place was popular with both families (including those with very young children) and couples or groups of friends. Lovely place and a great addition to this quiet little town. Staff are always friendly and cocktail are very tasty. Price is not outrageous not sure what people expect to pay for a cocktail these days? Shame that food is not served everyday but we will definitely be back another weekend!
