We had visited the Mash Inn previously. Our next visit was a gift, using a voucher which was intended to cover the cost of the meal and wine, according to the price shown on the website for the tasting menu. Unfortunately we ended up paying nearly as much again because they said the price was different on a Friday evening. This was NOT made clear in any way on the website, nor by any member of staff during contact for the booking or during the evening. We attempted to recover some of the cost and a protracted exchange took place between ourselves and the owner who was exceedingly unpleasant and who resolutely refused to acknowledge the problem. Fantastic food. My husband and I spent the night here for our wedding anniversary. We paid for a bed, breakfast, dinner package. The rooms are simple (warning no sound proofing in rooms we could hear everything) The general Service was good, food was fantastic but the only thing that put me down was that they charge a 20% service fee and also charged us for tea and coffee which I thought (wrongly) would be included in the bed breakfast and dinner offer. I paid for it with no complaint as I didn’t want to end the experience on a sour note but i wasn’t expecting that so thought I should warn other. Otherwise I had a lovely time.
We had an amazing dining experience at The Mash Inn. The staff were attentive, polite, and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The tasting menu was fantastic, with excellent food and perfectly matched wines. The absence of a traditional menu added to the excitement of each surprise course, which was expertly presented and explained by the passionate staff. We were celebrating a birthday and the experience did not disappoint. We have already recommended The Mash Inn to our friends. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
I had been wanting to visit the Three Horseshoes for some time, and it was definitely worth the wait. They handled a potential mix-up professionally, and the locally sourced tasting menu was delicious and catered to all preferences. The service was just right to maintain a cozy pub-like atmosphere. The only disappointment was that they only had bottled beer instead of draft, but at least it was local. It's a special occasion venue for most, so we will definitely save up to return.
This was a fantastic dining experience. The menu has no choice aside from dietary restrictions but the food quality was superb innovative, not over worked, brilliant execution and superb seasoning and balance. Every dish was superb. Service fantastic friendly, knowledgeable and great ambiance Nick himself is a great host. Expensive on the face of it but not for this quality. No idea why it does not have a star better by far than many of the local restaurants that do
Every part of our experience for our friends 60 th Birthday celebrations was perfect. Stunning location , staff were very professional , so welcoming , just an incredible set up . The food was superb , the attention to detail on the presentation to taste was so well balanced .. They accommodated all our various eating preferences and it was one of the most enjoyable evenings. Rooms were lovely and the breakfast was delicious . Cannot fault it . Brilliant
We had a wonderful lunch experience in December '22 with a party of three. The food was excellent, the staff was friendly, and the location was lovely. Overall, we couldn't find any faults and are looking forward to returning soon.
I love good food and especially high end Sunday roast. The service was brilliant, the food was excellent and the restaurant is clean! We cannot wait to come back!
Divine food, welcoming staff and a cosy bedroom. We loved everything about our dinner and overnight stay at The Mash Inn. Would highly recommend.
