We've been going back to Olde Angel Inn on every visit to NOTL over the past 8 years and it never disappoints. Whether you want the British Pub special like Shepherd's Pie, or just Roast Beef Dip sandwich or Chicken Caesar wrap, all are delicious and most filling. And the British Pub atmosphere in this old style pub is a special treat. Oh, and try one of the 24 (mostly local and tasty) beers on tap. Have a good time and go.
Do NOT miss The Olde Angel Inn, the oldest inn in Canada. Walking into the bar for a drink after a show, we felt like we had stepped back in time 200 years. It's an authentic English style pub that you would picture when thinking of getting a pint at a local pub in Ireland or England. We had the fish and chips for dinner, which was delicious. HIGHLY recommend this place for a drink or a meal; unsurpassed atmosphere.
After the theatre our group fancied at drink and snack while chatting about the play we'd seen at the Festival Theatre. Only place open at 10:30pm was the Angel. Draught beer was good and apps were delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful. The bar was busy and welcoming. If we lived in NotL I feel it would become my local..enough said.

Been here 3 times and love it. I get something different every time, and have never been disappointed. Fish n chips were my favourite so far, they give you generous portions. Service is always good as well, I was never left hanging with an empty drink!
Have been going here for aboutv20 years, always made welcome, in the resturant and in the bar. Meet all members of the public from all over the world. The meals are very tasty but sometimes too much to eat, sometimes one meal will be enough for two.
We were four for lunch one day and supper the other. Servings are generous and well made. Service is good, beer and wine selections OK and all of us enjoyed what we ordered. Sharing is easy and not charged extra for.
