My group and I visited this restaurant together. We liked the appetizers, especially the calamari and potato skins. The plain wings were just that - plain, with no seasoning. I ordered the pineapple glazed steak with a baked potato. The steak was incredibly tender and easy to eat. However, I found the stuffed potato that came with it to be less appealing and satisfactory compared to versions from other restaurants like The Keg and Moxies. The dishes ordered by my friends, such as the ribs, were delicious. The restaurant was busy that night, being a Saturday, so the service was a bit slow, but we understood the circumstances.
I had their jambalaya and it was very tasty just the amount of spice. It was a good size portion enough for my dinner and lunch the next day. I had recently come back from Jamaica and ordered jambalaya in a restaurant there. The server...tried to warn me that it was spicy and I said no problem but when it came it was a very small amount almost no meat and not spicy at all. I would definitely order this again. The server was also very friendly. My husband had their steak salad with blue cheese and he loved it.
The Reid used to be a great spot for a meal, with a nice atmosphere and good service. However, my last visit left me disappointed as there was a need for repairs and we waited over an hour for our food. The service and dining experience on my last few visits have been terrible. It's a shame because we used to really enjoy going to The Reid.
I had a chicken quesadilla and salate, as well as one of the best margaritas I had for years. bf had a bowl of excellent jam, very fresh ingredients. does not expect this level of food to be found in this city, and the price was also shockingly reasonable. definitiw plan to return to this restaurant when/if we stay in vanderhoof.
The Reid is our stop every year on our way to Prince Rupert. We have never been disappointed with the food or service. We stopped in on Saturday at was no exception. I had the AAA steak medium rare. Done perfect. My wife...had the chicken/cheese quesadilla. Was excellent. Service was timely and non rushed. Worth a visit!
Fresh chicken breasts are always the best choice when serving a Chicken Caesar salad. I was so disappointed to discover a frozen packaged breast when I opened my take out. Also, real bacon bits, even packaged ones, are better than imitation bacon. The salad itself...was okay but I won't return.
eating is always great. have many different dishes there, but I like the spicy calamari best of all. the stone grilled steaks are amazing as the ripening price wednesday and pasta dishes. never disappointed.
The available staff were excellent, but it's disappointing that management didn't have more employees on hand. Service would definitely benefit from having additional staff. The food was delicious.
my man and I had a great lunch here. the service was excellent! he had the special Brat ridge sandwich and suppe, I had the clubhouse. there were fresh, thick cut truthahn in the club! sky
